Everyone’s always talk about the heavyweights with the fastest handspeed but who were the heavyweights who have held a heavyweight title, don’t matter if it’s undisputed, wbc, wba, wbo or Ibf ,who had the slowest handspeed?

I think that Willard, Carnera, Bruno, Valuav would have to be there but who else makes the list?

Weaver was slow. Knoetze was slow and threw wide shots. Cobb. Wepner whenever he threw from the outside. Schutte was another slow looping punch guy.

Liston looked like he was in slow motion.

Bruno should’ve been called Aquaman cos he moved and threw punches like he was fighting underwater.

Marciano often sprung into connect range from outside the wheelhouse with good speed. I think he had underrated reflexes and timing.

    Alphabet boys don’t count.
Of the real HEAVYWEIGHT champs, Willard is my pick as the
    slowest puncher.

I suspect Jeffries would run him close, but there’s not enough film to judge him properly.

Maskaev was pretty damn slow. He makes every fighter mentioned above look fast.

Valuev stood out to me. Giant who looked like he was punching underwater at times. No real snap to his punches either. All he had was physical strength, chin, decent stamina and ok fundamentals. Obviously size and reach too.
