I’m in Nicaragua with work just now, was in a taxi today and asked the driver about Mayorga. Driver says he is in hospital as he was attacked last week with baseball bats to the head!!
Looks like he is going to be OK. Got robbed, beaten, left unconscious but he has been discharged from hospital and is at home apparentl.
This place is mad so I get why he is. I went out for my tea and sat outside a chicken wings restaurant looking out to armed police everywhere! Different world! Taxi driver loved him tho you can tell he is respected here
I was in Nicaragua a few years ago (just going out and in of Costa Rica to extend the visa) but on the first day there was a high speed chase through the centre of town with two people dying.
