Engels Pedroza - Ring Prospect of the year who got exposed by a fringe contender and never progressed beyond Continental title level.

Scott "The Golden Boy" Clark. Was a solid prospect who couldn't turn down a shot at Cuevas and then never fought again, despite being pursued by Top Rank who wanted to push him hard.

Bobby Joe Young. Was once considered the equal to McCrory, Starling, and Curry coming up. Never really recovered after losing to Kevin Howard, someone who Curry once pulled out of a fight with.

Rod Douglas was a highly touted English amateur and went 13-0 as a pro before Mickey Duff threw him in with Herol Graham. It was way too soon for him to be fighting a world championship-caliber fighter. The match literally ruined his career as he had to retire from a blood clot on the brain that resulted from it.

Bilal Akkway was being hailed as one of, if not, the best prospect out of Australia, and got into a camp with Canelo. A lot of people were saying that he is going to have a promising career. Then John Ryder TKO'd him in round 3 (Humongous step up in quality to be fair) . He's gone pretty quiet after that and has not had a fight yet. Not derailed, but looks like it has affected him.

David Ried was a hell of an Amatuer fighter and Olympic gold medalist that was never the same after losing his first fight with Tito. Eye problem's and weight issues didn't help but he looked shot after that fight.

Rhoshi Wells is another guy. He won Bronze in 96' and won a title at 154 only to get KO'd by Alejandro Garcia.
