Another vote for Floyd. And not all that close, to be honest

Mayweather struggled with Maidana and Castillo, so that's not correct. Griffith was
awkward, but wasn't close to winning the 1st fight with Jones. Griffith found away
to win by faking the seriousness of the low blow. Griffith took advantage of a
incident and quit. 2nd fight,Jones annihilated Griffith 1st rd and left no
question to who was the better fighter. Can Mayweather say the same
about his 2nd fights with Maidana and Castillo?

At one point I thought Roy had the talent to be the best ever. It never really panned out like that, but I thought the talent was there. Never really thought that way about Floyd. Was great at what he did, but never really excited me

Errrrr… Jones would've never struggled with a fighter like Castillo in his prime. In his prime, Jones left less doubt about this winner than Floyd. He was literally a force of nature, Floyd was never that.

He didn't beat far better opposition.

He just has more named opponents on his resume.

Hard to say. Floyd's post prime career was much, much better than Roy's, but Roy was more dominant against about the same level of competition in their respective primes.

I'd probably go with Roy. Floyd's longevity is fantastic and it's hugely impressive to beat guys like Canelo and Maidana in your mid-, late-30's, but Roy was just so superior in his his prime. And it's not like we're talking a Bowe, or even Tyson, prime here, but a guy who did what he wanted to everyone he met for ten years straight over four weight classes.

But a case can be made for both and I can definitely understand Floyd being higher ranked as well. But it's certainly not a given to me.

Jones gets my vote though the resumes are closer than what their talent levels are IMO. Floyd was skilled as hell but I feel Jones’s peak was more impressive.

    PBF for resume.

pfp 130 Floyd was about equal to 168 Roy.

No, no he was not equal to Jones at 168. Not by a decent margin.

Agreed. He looked amazing at 168 .. but who did he fight after Toney? He was there for 2 years .. That's the thing with Roy, He is held back imo for lack of competition there and for the roids… this is why he is not really found in top 20 p4p lists. I have no problem with him continuing to fight as this is what special ATG's do, they are Active.. And I might be in the minority, but his win over Ruiz is a very good win for him .. going up and down is hard to do even though he had the style advantage. If he got in the ring with the better comp. at 168 and was successful .. He is a shoe-in for me in a top 20 p4p list, and I can't say that about Floyd
