They were close to their best in their first fight, with GGG maybe having slipped a little, being 35 year old. I had it 116-112 for Golovkin.
His old ass came to the states late by choice, not accident. F him and whatever bs story his fangirls throw. As per Canelo, show me the receipts. Canelo got the W and a draw. Spare me the buts little g fans, save em for your wife, life whatever Canelo >>>>> and still going $$$$$$$
He couldn't do it roided out his mind and in his peak years v a faded GGG and you have him beating a prime one??
This I got Canelo being saved late with prime GGG, and considering how hard a man he is, maybe it damages him
If it's in Las Vegas no one beats Canelo.....Golovkin proved that after giving him a serious beating in the first fight.....Both Peak any place rather than Las Vegas Golovkin easily.!!!
Given that Canelo peaked in the 2nd GGG fight... and still lost... this doesn't bode well for him. GGG from 2012-15ish is a different animal to that, he was faster, had a higher workrate, was stronger, and utilized everything in his arsenal. His style has changed a bit too, not in the sense that he wasn't a stalker, but he did little things that he doesn't do anymore. He cut off the ring better, worked more power punches off the jab and went to the body with monster bombs. He's gotten away from a lot of these things over the last few years. Canelo took half of every round off anyway, how does he win against a GGG who's landing harder shots, more often? His gas tank would be ****ed after 6/7 rounds of taking those body shots. GGG would be just as quick as Canelo, and wouldn't have a hard time landing too. Canelo would obviously have his moments, and would be competitive early on, buy once he starts to fade GGG takes over and wins big, Canelo would most likely end up down and hurt, but I think he'd go 12. Golovkin (vwide)UD12 Anybody sensible, who's seen both the difference in GGG as he aged and can see the fact that GGG should at least be 1-1 with Canelo, can see that GGG at his peak beats Canelo, pretty clearly. What we're seeing right now from Canelo is awesome, he's making history and has already cemented himself as the best of this era, and above GGG, but in reality he isn't a drop in the ocean, historically at MW. And truth be told, neither is Golovkin.
Golovkin style is to apply pressure when the opponent is retreating but if the opponent doesn’t retreat and has power with faster hands than you with a high boxing IQ , it comes down to close rounds. The first fight was watched with the volume off . Golovkin clearly was applying the pressure but it wasn’t all that effective Canelo landed the harder punches. It was close and a draw was fair. The second fight Canelo won at his peak. Golovkin was at his peak at age 32 and 33.
You ggg goons act as if "prime " ggg was some sort of monster, when in reality he beat nobody and did nothing.
