SRL in about 5. Pryor would have to fight aggressively as he would get no-where boxing. He would have his moments, he was a fantastic fighter. Leonard tho, bigger, stronger, faster and the better technician would come out on top.

I think it would be a pretty wild shootout while it lasted.

:goodAaron obviously had a better workrate than Ray. That's it, no other advantage.

For sure he was a dynamo, but i'm thinking that workrate might have been hard to impose on a bigger faster more powerful fighter like SRL. Pryor was very dominant at 140 and had his own way a lot. There would be a lot more retribution in this one.

Ray anywhere by tko in 5 to 8 rounds. He's faster, hits harder, and is the better fighter.

Pryor should be thankful he didn't get that opportunity to fight Leonard, as everyone has said too small, to easy to hit against possibly the best welter ever. Leonard would've destroyed Pryor. His only gain would've been the paycheck received

I agree. pryor's style and workrate would work against him against leonard. Not much comp for ray, who would take pryor out by about the 5th or 6th round (providing that pryor didn't cheat and take illegal substances like he did for Arguello). Ray too fast and hard hitting, Pryor too wide open and reckless. If Pryor tried to box ray it would turn comical because he would be facing an opponent taller, bigger, faster and harder punching who also did everything better.

Plenty of thrills and spills for about six rounds or so. Leonard eventually grinds Pryor down for stoppage defeat after about ten stanzas. Too much power and versatility for The Hawk.

This fight was actually signed and a contract was made up but than sugar Ray took a tune up and got his eye walloped by some cabdriver and than he used his detached retina to continue ducking Pryor knowing damn well that Pryor fought his whole career half blind and sugar was lucky it was some cabdriver that messed his eye up because had it been Pryor it would've been a lot worse so how any sugar Ray Leonard fangirl can criticize Aaron is beyond me but all that potshotting to steal rounds doesn't work against Aaron and Pryor would win by decision easily outworking sugar Ray over 15 rounds

I say that ALL the time. The only person Benitez didn't fight, but the talk was their was Hagler, and in hindsight the way Hagler performed when he was forced to lead Benitez, bigger and stronger than Duran at Jr.Middle may have had a good chance against Hagler.

Pryor would look like Leonard's little brother in there and would get paint brushed as such. Anyone who is betting on Pryor must have a SRL dartboard in their garage and problems discerning reality.

And Leonard would've destroyed Pryor. Unlike Duran who looked strong at welter and in shape. Pryor's frame doesn't suggest he could've went much higher than Jr.welter and be successful. ( He actually fought at lightweight comfortably but couldn't get a title shot at that weight.) Too many too's for Pryor at welter against Leonard. Too short,Too small, Too easy to hit, too slow, and too aggressive ( Would play right into Leonard's hands)
Factor in Leonard didn't like Pryor, See Leonard's fights against Dave Green, and Andy Price for reference. Leonard would damn near kill Pryor.

Higher workrate, but what else does Pryor have that's superior to Leonard? Nothing. SRL wins without too much trouble.

I’m calling Leonard in one — Pryor comes charging in his Tasmanian devil stye and after about the third rush Leonard times him. Sets him started on his way with a left hook counter, holding his ground and digging in, and then unleashes real fury on the Hawk until he puts him down a couple of times and the ref has to stop it.

Let's say this video happened this past Friday....you wouldn't say Ruck is ducking? Not asking who U think would win...U guys made it clear. I'm asking why did Ray refuse an undefeated champ who said I will move up to fight you? And is it true they sparred? We know Hawk beat the taller Hearns in the ams, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same to Ray. And as far as ETM hitting Pryor...well Pryor's style was perpetual motion. If you're busy throwing, U probably gonna get caught...or as Aaron states "I may get dropped and take a count of 3,4 or5, but my opponent gets dropped for a count of 8,9 & 10!
