I'm from Poland and im proud about CIEŚLAK you must know guys what's happened before this fight first, Cieślak training to fight in december against Seferi in Poland, next he take fight against Makabu becuase Włodarczyk got injured, next Congo side change often date fight first 18 January next 25 and finish on 31. They wait for invitiation letter to last day. Cieślak team to last days dont know place of fight. Cieślak team go there in Tuesday 18 hours flight. So team be there in Congo in Wednesday. Someone stole in first night 500-600 dollars from one of promoter Cieslak hotel room. Imagine they cant send money for Cieślak team becuase bank around the world reject money from DRC. Few hours before fight DRC boxing federation give Cieślak team REAL CASH. IMAGINE? Cieślak never fought before on 12 rounds distance + weather very hot, he many times must change training plans becuase they change date fight. I'm proud Cieślak is tough and have very strong mental. But he lose with everything around this fight. On neutral ground Cieślak will be KO Makabu in Six rounds.

So I’m reading on Twitter that there were some dirty tactics on the go?? Round three was apparently a two minute round. One of the rounds a four minute round because Makabu had him hurt.

This is why every fighter needs a Big John Fury or Big Glen McCrory in their team to put a stop to these shenanigans. Could you imagine a boozed up, coked up McCrory wreaking havoc at ringside?

Needn't just rely on Twitter's word for it - read the very RBR thread you're replying in, or check out any of the many video links provided herein to watch for yourself.

Reading now, this is why this sport is really a complete joke at the professional level.

Could you imagine a Champions League football match being stopped by a ref at 80 minutes to allow the leading team to win? Because that’s pretty much the equivalent.

Like I said Big McCrory. Try messing with one of his fighters and you get banjoed.

I know why Cieslak dropped his hands and turned away now . He was claiming he'd been hit low but you can't really get a good view of it because the only camera angle we got to see it from was with his back to us. It did look like it might have strayed low from the little you can see but it's hard to tell for sure.

His promoters are complete morons for taking this fight for that amount of money. Every sane person would have suspected it from miles away that Cieslak gets screwed one way or the another.

I'm a big fan of Makabu, but the way he won this fight was iffy to say the least, and if he has any integrity he needs to rematch Cieslak in Poland or on neutral territory. Cieslak shouldn't feel aggrieved about losing this fight as he had a ton of stuff stacked against him. The two minute round was especially egregious.

Found these interviews on a Polish boxing site

Excuse the bold text and the Google translate

Michał Cieślak wants a rematch with Ilunga Makabu. "In Poland I will tear him apart"

"Everything was done deliberately to disturb my blood." Cieślak after the fight for the WBC belt

On Friday, Michał Cieślak lost the fight with Ilunga Macabu for the world championship belt of the WBC federation in the junior heavy category. The boxer returned to his homeland, but announces that he wants a rematch. - I take such a fight right away, in Poland I will tear him apart - he said.

    On coming back to Poland

    - I'm finally here. Return came without any adventures, both flights were calm. I am very happy that we are here.

    About the fight

    - First I have to watch the fight in detail, for now I saw her snippets, but as I mentioned - I had enough strength for the sixth round, I think the weather allowed me. This is what it looks like at least after my conversations with the trainer that just to the sixth round I had enough strength, and then I got stuck and did not let go until the end of the fight.

About a better start to the fight

    - I did not go on him for my hundred percent, it was not my maximum. I was to go out and play with him for twelve rounds, and if the opportunity arose, I would knock him out. And so I did. Maybe it looked very fast, but it wasn't.

About falling on boards in the fourth round

    - I got a very strong blow below the waist and I felt it very much. That's why my hands dropped. I thought the judge noticed it, but unfortunately it did not happen, and I got a blow along the way. I think it all accumulated - a blow, weather conditions, prolonged preparation ... There were some of these situations.

About whether he could do something better

    - I hit him several times in the first rounds. I saw that he felt it and could drag it on. Maybe I could finish him off. I didn't go further because I thought I still had time. The fight ended as it ended and there is nothing to fear. I do not feel dominated by him, I gave equal fight, and knocked out all his previous opponents. I am glad that this fight looked like this.

On the circumstances of the fight

    - I was isolated from most things. I can say for example about weighing. It was supposed to happen at three o'clock. A quarter to three, however, I got the information that the hour was postponed to sixteen. We're leaving at four o'clock and weigh me almost five o'clock. It was like that there with everything. Even the matter with my "stupid" song at the entrance. She wasn't there because the pen drive was lost. And it smashes the player - something motivates you, but suddenly it's gone. Everything was done in such a way that it would spoil some blood.

About whether these were special actions

    - Sure. They knew that I was weighing, that maybe I have a problem with it or not. They knew that maybe I could not "charge" properly. They've always broken something. This is not the case, it was an example. It was like that there with everything.

About the problems before flying to Africa

    - Here it did not affect me that much. I talked with the trainer Andrzej Liczik and we organized it somehow. I thought it would be good, the research was positive. I think I lost to Africa.

    About plans for the future

    - I will gladly fight for the second time with Macabou, even immediately, without any transitional fight. I take it and tear it here in Poland.

    About the chafing fight

    - What struggle to wipe? Did he do something to me? Nothing. He did not impose his pace on me, he did not beat me, he did not crush me. This fight did not look like one of those "to one goal" and it was not. It just looked like this because it clogged me. There are no wiping fights, there is nothing to wait for. I feel that such players are within my reach and I will not want to fight with others.'

CIEŚLAK: I DON'T FEEL DEPRESSED [INTERVIEW]

    - I will not say that I will come back stronger because I will come back a hundred times stronger and I know that I can win with anyone in the world - said Michał Cieślak after returning from Africa. On Friday in DR Congo, the Polish lost to Ilunga Macabu points for the fight for the belt of the world junior heavyweight federation WBC.

Kamil Wolnicki: In what mood did you come back from DR Congo, where did you fight for the belt of WBC junior heavy weight world champion with Ilunga Macabu?

Michał Cieślak: And where can I come back? I lost the fight for the belt, so it's not fun. The circumstances were unusual and something was happening all the time. The coaching staff tried to cut me off from everything, although it is known that it can't be done that completely. I found out about some situations after the fight.

An hour before the start of the duel, it was not known if it would happen at all. Did you know that

No, I didn't get it. I just went down to the hotel to sign. I didn't know they were looking for money before, and so on.

What were the last hours before the duel?

Normally as always. I was in the room listening to music, that's all.

And the duel itself? You started very well. You caught him several times with blows.

I've seen the snippets and actually caught him. I wasn't scared of anything except the weather. And by the sixth round everything was fine and then cut me off. To be honest: I had no strength.

Several times, Macabu seemed to be wobbling.

I felt it, but I didn't want to risk it. I thought that the crisis would not catch me so quickly, and if so, for a moment and I would come back to myself. None of this, I've been fighting with character since the sixth round.

What happened in the fourth round? You stopped, turned and then Macabu sent you to the boards. Have you heard the judge's order before and thought the fight was over?

No. A moment earlier he hit me in the ... balls so hard that my hands fell. I thought the judge saw it, but then he hit me with a very strong blow.

Why didn't you follow the blow when there were good moments?

That was the tactic not to risk in the initial rounds. I can only blame myself. He didn't surprise me with anything, didn't impose a deadly pace, pressure or style. The fight was even. I don't want to explain, but if we fought here ... It was different there. The day before the fight, the weighing was to take place at 15, and at 14.50 I got information that an hour later. They finally weighed me before 5pm. I enter the ring and my music is gone because they lost my flash drive. These are small things, but important, which additionally charge. Something was happening at every step.

Do you agree with the verdict?

I am not from the assessment because it is the task of the judges. There were shortened rounds, others extended.

The locals began to celebrate well before the verdict, as if they already knew him.

    Yeah...

How would you describe all the circumstances? Media training took place on the street.

I do not know if this makes sense. What can I say? I had a great camp, two sparring partners, we matched twelve rounds, we reduced the time to rest to half a minute. I felt great, but it is different there.

    And the crisis came.

As I say, it cut me off from the sixth round and it was over. I felt very bad.

Did you feel the blows of Macabou? This is one of the strongest junior heavyweights.

We had a nice fight, we opened in the ninth round. I accepted it a bit, but I'm glad that I did my best and went for an exchange. I wanted this. And now a well-deserved rest, because preparations are starting from June. I want to do nothing for a month and then think with my trainer what to improve. And there is something, even a mental issue. Old Cieślak must come back and we are going forward. I will not say that I will come back stronger because I will come back a hundred times stronger and I know that I can win with anyone in the world.

Did you feel that it was not safe?

There were different moments, but I don't want to talk about it. I am in Poland, I have happily returned and that's it.

Don't you regret having accepted this duel?

No. I think this performance gave me more than half of the other fights. It was a fight for the world championship. I told you I am not afraid of anything. Only the weather and I got it.

The last question about DR Congo. Your promoters are not recommending this place. And you

Why don't they recommend? You have to talk to them. I recommend to everyone.

Makabu is a world leader. Did this fight give you confidence? After this fight, you have the right to feel that you can fight anyone.

Yes, and I would like a rematch as soon as possible, although it probably won't happen soon. We'll see how it goes. For now I want to rest, but I believe that I can beat anyone. I talked to the trainer a little, we analyzed, although he did not want to burden me additionally.

What more could you do? The first thought is to fight more aggressively?

Redo actions. When I hit him I could go. You can't lose this chance. Everything has accumulated. This weather, postponing the date three or four times, the place itself, various out-of-sport situations ... Everything influenced the fact that from the sixth round it was as it was. It's not like I'm not training. Some said the staff had to be changed. Nonsense. How could I not prepare for the fight for the belt?

You said that if the fight were in Poland, it would look different. There are ideas to lodge a protest, if only because of the length of the rounds and lead to a rematch, for example in Mr. Radom.

I do not know, I do not focus on speculation, I passed too much in boxing. It's all in the bud. But if such a fight took place in Radom, I would be very happy.

Fighting Macabou, did you feel that this is a different, higher level?

Now, after the fight, I feel the difference. I went to a higher level. I need to correct some details and let's go. I can't imagine not bringing my belt to Poland after all.

What will you remember most from the trip to Africa?

Everything. It was four days, but one could write a book about it.

If it was up to you, when was the next fight?

We will see, sit with the promoters, trainer and think. I don't want any fraying because I don't feel lost or suppressed.'
