Depends on the weight, and Hearns would be the guy more likely to be staring at the ceiling.

Canelo is excellent at slipping straight shots but he wouldn't be able to dodge them all. He'd have to catch Hitman with a perfectly timed counter and follow it up with a stoppage to win. Its possible but the odds of winning decrease the longer it goes.
    Hearns UD most likely

For some reason Canelo vs Kova came to mind, even tho Hearns is a better fighter than Kova, If Canelo can disarmed Hearns right hand too he might have a chance.

Canelo would chop up his body then break that glass jaw of his.

Totally agree, a hook to put him on skates then he batters him on the ropes.

Hearns is 1 of my all time favourites and I think he is a better fighter then him but Canelo is definitely capable especially with how good he is with body punches.
As a few others have said it depends what Hearns we are talking about, prime Hearns is a different animal who I could see even finishing Canelo

You calling Hearns a B fighter is up there with the silliest things i've read today

Hearns is advantageous in every way, he is taller, has longer arms and a far better jab, Canelo would probably seek a chance in close combat, but Hearns would probably keep his distance and destroy Canelo with his jabs...

Canelo. But a prime Golovkin would obliterate both

So Hearns who fought during the time of same day weigh ins and was even outweighed by SRL on fight night in their first bout is the weight bully. Yet Canelo who drains, then balloons up on fight night outweighing many of his opponents by significant amounts isn't one?

Also the triangle theory works both ways. Lara has less speed, range, power, accuracy, lower punch selection, worse combinations, and a worse jab than Hearns yet he gave Canelo a very tough fight. I slightly lean towards a Canelo at 160+, but your post is just ignorant from start to finish. You should consider building a cubby house up a tree so you can hang out with koalas.

Hearns is not a lesser fight like Kovalev is now and he is better than Jacobs. He is a little more reckless than Jacobs, but he has a better right and sharper punches and greater.

you should see Hearns against Andries in 1987.. Hearns would be lean still and outsharp Canelo. People are overrating Canelo now. Tommy had a 78 1/2 in reach and was a sharp shooter and he was more comfortable at 175 than Canelo who had a washed up Kovalev to fight last time. Maybe Canelo could beat Spinks and move up and beat Holmes also.
