Not likely, yet far from impossible. I think the real question here is will you ever remove Manny’s golf club from your caddy shack. There’s soooo much more of life that you can experience once you’re able to look past the shade of Pac-Man foreskin draped over your eyes.

Not likely, yet far from impossible is kinda contradictory, son. And how do you have intimitate knowledge of the Senator's cut/uncut wang?

I’m pretty sure you mentioned the finer details on this forum at some stage lol. You’re right if you think it may likely never happen again. At least not for another decade or so.

Naoya Inoue is one candidate — dude has the crippling power to carry through the weight classes, but I don't think he can be effective beyond 130/135.

They're similarly sized. Scope out the Senator polishing Inoue's vaunted left hook!

I don´t think we will see another Flyweight champ become Welterweight champ anytime soon.
Not only would they have to be a heck of a boxer, the timing would have to be right as well. Manny was still a kid when he won the 112lb belt while he was still able to make the weight.
Pac won the 112lb title at the end of 98. At the end of 99 he was already at 122lbs.
(even so, I don´t think we will see anyone go from 122 to 147 either)

But Kosei Tanaka! The kid is only 24 and already has won belts at 105, 108 and 112. He just vacated his WBO belt and is now in line for Ioka´s title at 115lbs.
And at 5´4 and with his frame, Tanaka has more weightclasses to ascend.

Tanaka would have to end up winning a belt at 130.
And I think Ioka would have to end up at 140.

You never know. But Ioka is a fair bit smaller than Manny. And he would have to win a title in every weight class all the way up to 140. Lucky for him, since 140 has historically had few great boxers.

Possibly. There's been guys successful over a large weight span which would be 8 weight classes before, but not whilst there's been the 8 classes to do so.

The day-before weigh ins make it harder to climb weight successfully nowadays, as guys are #1 much bigger and #2 it's harder to fluctuate weight whilst rehydrating.

This is what makes Manny so special. We will see one again? I wouldn't doubt it, would we see one as dominant? Probably not. Would we see one who started at Fly and went to WW? I can't see it in boxing's modern landscape.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if in the future there are even more divisions with sub divisions, with even more possible belts.
Then, as someone starts at a very young age, wins a strawweight belt, moves up while growing to win super strawweight, light flyweight, flyweight, super flyweight, light bantam, bantam and a super bantam strap... Bob's your uncle! 17lbs up in weight while growing into (very tiny) adulthood, might be very possible.
without the 2 made up ones he would have to make it to 130, which is quite possible too over a long career.

And then we're not even talking women's boxing, in which there's hardly any competition in most weightclasses.

The crazy thing is Pac skipped some divisions. Coulda been a 10 division champ.
