Mayweather, pretty clearly. I'd route for The Professor everyday of the week but I don't think he'd get the job done.

Is this the British way of saying you would like to be his chauffeur?

Either way I am perhaps the biggest Nelson fan on here, but nah, he would lose pretty clearly. Not dominated...shoot on 2nd thought, I might even route for Nelson too!

Mayweather by UD ...it’s hard to watch the Pernell Whitaker fight and then visualize Nelson being successful against Floyd

    Ffs:lol: Philly

No, it's a spelling mistake. I'd root* for Nelson is what I meant to put.

Put money on Floyd but this would be close, Nelson was a relentless machine and the trouble Castillo and others gave Floyd with pressure you can't write a guy like Azumah off here. Yes Pernell Whitaker handled AN comfortably but Sweet Pea was a jab and mover who never stopped throwing and moving while Floyd was more of economical precision puncher, both defensive masters but not quite the same style.

I see Mayweather jr winning this one ( Yes I actually said that) especially at jr.light where May was truly special. Nelson had the skills, but he would need also the athletic ability to defeat Mayweather Jr. He didn't have the speed. Mayweather jr was just as skilled, but was much quicker. This fight would go the distance. Unanimous dec Mayweather Jr. (I actually said that).

Yeah but, I feel in this thread that Benitez has not gotten enough credit for his win over Duran.

Look up what "to root" means in Australia and you'll find out why I never use that term.

At super featherweight in Nelson’s prime this would be a very tough fight. Mind you I’m talking about Nelson at 130 lbs and between perhaps 1984-1987.... Not the version who fought Sanchez in 1982 and not the one who fought Whitaker at 135 in 1990... Still I’d lean towards a close Mayweather decision but hardly a decisive pick.

Yeah I already knew, ya dirty *******. Do you also avoid use of the number 6?
