Looks like Warren is lining him up for a vacant title shot or at the very least a good fight on the April PPV, so he wants a tune up. If that’s the case, then it’s a smart move IMO.

This isn't even a tune up surely? This is a box tick ala Liam Smith. You can't fight for a belt on a defeat so they are buying him a win - probably very cheaply as well.

Is there an interim belt free anywhere or is someone making one up for Yarde.

    Joke of a fight.

Hyped fighter gets to the top with Warren in exactly this way.......con jobs both of them and if another promoter did it this way he’d have meltdown twitchy neck fit!!!!

Joke! Let’s hope the opponent goes home safe.

Regulation with WBO is you have to be coming off a win to go into an eliminator. Think it is purely a quirk of the system

If this was the only way his next fight could be in the eliminator it just crude.

Don't forget that the guy was a middleweight, how the f**k was this allowed to happen? I hope Yarde gets iced again in his next fight, there's weight bullying and then there's this, there's record padding and then there's this.

I’ve been a huge critic of Yarde in the past but there’s literally nothing to read in to this. If anything it’s a good thing as it means his next fight should be a meaningful bout.

Good point but least he done well in first fight (I think he should have got the W) and he had at least been 2 x British Champ. Yarde hasn't proved he would win a British.

This fight would’ve taken some explaining if the opponent had been seriously hurt.
