Those champions were old and shot and
AJ went life and death with 41yo shot wlad and povetkin gave him a lot of problems too,I’m sure prime wlad beats AJ eight times out of 10, and I would favor prime povetkin to beat AJ.

Not when youre waiting for the idiot ref to put the mouthpiece back in your mouth.

The ref forgot about the mouthpiece.

Calling an exhausted fighter who has risen from multiple knockdowns a quitter because he wasnt responding 100% how people think he should have while he was waiting on his mouthpiece is typical armchair warrior crap.

how does that hurt him? Then guys will think they can beat him and he will have to prove he is better. Either way it doesn't change much.

Just sick and tired of that prima donna bodybuilder strutting around with those golden shiny belts! Thinking he's **** of the walk when he ran around the ring against a opponent who should be on the world's fattest man programme! Please Deontay! After you've finished knocking out Fury, can you please destroy that stiff weighlifter! 2020 would be a excellent year to get rid of these euro fighters! And then that scrawny Usyk! lol

Fighters aren't afraid of him anymore?

    Good. That only favours Joshua.

Pulev is complete crap, and more protected than Wilder. All he has is a jab and a mean stare.

Joshua would smash that old man into well-deserved retirement.

His win over Ruiz definitely proved he has what it takes to win at all costs, which makes him a much harder to beat opponent IMO. Fighters might not be scared of him, thinking that he might 'run' from them the way he 'ran' from Ruiz, but if they can't close him down or outbox him or take the shots he hit Ruiz with then they're still going to lose, so I'm not sure what advantage there is for them there really.

Has Ortiz fired his management team then, for making such an alright **** up?

If not then he clearly wasn't that bothered to begin with.

Agreed. And even if he did quit (which he didn't) he beat Ruiz comprehensively in the rematch, so all questions have been answered.

There are very few quitters in boxing, and they get fewer the higher up the food chain you go. Quitting mentality and championship mentality don't go together.

I think Pulev gets more of a hard time than he deserves on here.

Pulev has beat Chisora who Whyte gets a lot of credit for beating twice.

Pulev is a quality skilled boxer, he fought Wladimir the exact way people believed you had to, to beat him at the time. He took risks, he roughed Wladimir up, fought a bit dirty, stood up to Wladimir and hit him with all he had, not a lot of heavyweights had the guts Pulev has to do what he did that night.

For me it's only because Pulev is getting on in years and hasn't looked at the top of his game.

I agree, at the top of his game, he was a quality, skilled HW.

It's not like Joshua was chomping at the bit to go back at Ruiz. He had enough. Clearly.

If it makes you feel better we can say he willingly went along with the referee's decision to stop the fight rather than quit.
