I see youre points and agree maybe the heavyweight championship isnt the best time to do your apprenticeship.

I think thats why Roach and Hatton was there too as Fury would have known not to put all his eggs in a relatively unknown coaches basket so to speak.

Fury stands a better chance this time for me. Hes in better shape, has a super team round him, seems more focused and is able to make changes. DW on the other hand is a one trick pony you know what youre going to get with him. Easier to gameplan around Wilder than it is around Fury.

I agree. I think everything is more in Fury's favour this time and he should win convincingly but I don't want to say it too loud because Wilder's right hand can end all hopes and dreams in an instant.

Yeah agree mate. Think he should have took a step back with tyson, went across and picked up some more experience in this camp. Its all a learning experience afterall. Tactically i think he was spot on for the first fight. But just listening to other points of view, seeing the set up across at stewards gym , picking up new things in the camp...how they run it etc would have been good for him.

Sometimes you,ve got to lose face for the bigger picture. Think he should have done that. I think hes showed hes a good enough coach for the job....but at that top level it takes more than what ben can provide. He should have used it as a scouting mission more than anything else. But maybe just happy being a one man band. Or a small outfit.

As david haye said....adam booth was also a pti trainer. Hes done not to bad considering. Sometimes these outward thinkers dont always need experience to suceed.

I actually think part of the problems was ben did try to get the respect back from tyson. He coaxed him in the beginning as a friend....fury responded. Then ben started to try to get a trainer/fighter respect relationship later on and tyson stopped responding. Nothing ben could have done really because he had to start off as a friend. Steward shouldn,t have the same problem tho. But does he know him as well as ben does. Probably a good move overall tho....sure we,ll find out soon enough anyway.

He (BEN) seems to have a similar relationship with BJS and I dont think its good for them. Fighters like TF and BJS need someone whos going to instill that discipling in them not have a laugh etc.

Not sure thats fair either. It was probably a bit to soon for fury from coming back from the lay off that first time round. Furys had a bit more time and another couple of fights under his belt. That first fight was a bit of a rush job....considering that....what they achieved was something else. Ben has to take massive credit for that regardless.

Even if fury wins....he had a bit more going for him going into this camp than the last one.

Think theres sometimes two ways to skin a cat mate. These guys....like fury and billy joe seem to stop responding to the discipline. Fury did with peter in the end. And billy joe did with tibbs i think it was. And a few others.

Ben showed he could get results without it....i think he,ll get similar with billy joe without it as well.

Think it was when he tried to instill more discipline with fury it started to fall apart.

Fury will take the discipline with steward because its new atm....and stewards had the opportunity to start off as a trainer first and foremost as opposed to a friend but fury will probably end up back not responding if they keep going for long enough. Luckily hes got andy lee etc in their to be the coach/friend.

A coach/fighter relationship is pretty much the ideal situation as opposed to a coach/friend relationship. But i dont think its necessary for success. Sometimes think you can get more out of some people in the coach/friend relationship. Depends on the person. Think bens problem was he tried to move from coach/friend relationship to coach/fighter relationship. Not an easy thing to do.

I still dont think a coach/fighter relationship is as necessary as people think. Its ideal but sometimes it just doesnt work.
