You really don’t think two fighters have ever spot fixed a fight before? Because that’s naive as hell. Why are you so adamant that Allen is innocent here? Just look at the circumstantial evidence. Allen is a gambler. He told Hearn to give him his pal Darch as his opponent instead of a random European nobody knows of. He has repeatedly said that his motivation is to make money from boxing. He had breakfast with Darch before the fight. Nobody here knows the truth but to completely disregard the possibility that two fighters have conspired to fix the ending to the fight is what is naive here.

I never disregarded 2 fighters doing, it, just said it would be unlikely and stupid. If your gonna fix a betting outcome, you keep it as small as possible so you won’t be discovered. did you claim Eubank jr was in on it when the Irish traveller he fought was accused of taking a dive? Nope, you didn’t, no one did, people just don’t like Dave Allen. Far has had nothing to lose throwing a fight, Allen has, like it it not.
JJ McDonagh quit at a round which was not the round which had suspicious betting patterns so there was nothing to suspect. Here, the reports suggest that there were suspicious betting patterns in round 3 which is the round where the fight ended. Like I said there is a ton of circumstantial evidence here which warrants suspicion and it’s not hard to believe that Darch and Allen, who would have received what, maybe £10k and £20k respectively in purse money, have conspired to make a few more dough out of what was inevitably going to be a Dave Allen win in any event.
Watching it again, it's a shocking fight, Allen's whole demeanour is ridiculous, it's like he's trying to copy Tyson Fury, truly awful. It is very easy to see why people are claiming it was fixed.
I posted this in the big Dave Allen thread. He was indeed doing ridiculous things in there which adds credence to the suspicions of a possible fix.
When Allen hurts him the first time in the 3rd, he sort of pauses and calls him in to finish him.. It's a weird one, but how else is dave supposed to win fights... Lol
