Hearn looking to cash in on that Leeds fans base. Good for Josh though. He deserves to earn a few quid and now he'll have a platform to actually do that.

Say what you like about Eddie but his guys get paid properly. Look at the contrast in how Ricky Burns was treated by Warren and then by Hearn.

YES. Thank goodness he didn't sign with Top Rank. It would have been a disaster from an exposure point of view. Eddie can do wonders with him, it's easy money for Matchroom and DAZN, and with the right marketing...maybe they could make Warrington a PPV-only fighter and possibly even big stadium fighter.

Makes sense. Warrington is the type of fighter that when he ages, it will be overnight. The high-octane style does not lend itself to longevity. Time of earn some good coin for a boxer I was slow to appreciate.

Time to cash in on his career. Good move.

I don't want to see Warrington vs Atwat 2 though.

Under Warren it looked like a fight with Stevenson, but arum won't want that on dazn presumably?

    He won't want Galahad again.

So who will hearn be matching Josh with?

    Ain't Galahad his mandatory again?

And there isn´t much going on at 126 anyways. At least with Warren there was Stevenson.

Signing with Matchroom means more money for Warrington, so good for him.

Galahad has already said he’s not caught up on Warrington and wants the title. My guess is voluntary then Can Xu then move up to fight the winner of Farmer vs Diaz rematch in the states.

Was the Burns example as simple as this? As I remember it led to Burns being sued by Warren for breach of contract (after Hearn essentially poaching him), Ricky ended up losing in court, to some considerable cost, and the commentary at the time (again as I remember it) was that Hearn had offered very little support before/during/after the court case

Warren dragged him through the courts when he had no real basis to do so being that he hadn't paid Burns what he was owed. Burns was under contract when he left but the contract had already been broken by Frank not paying his debts.

I don't know how he was supported by Hearn during the court process but he was definitely paid a lot more money for his fights under Matchroom and crucially actually paid for them. Warren really is a POS.

This was the stuff I was thinking about from the time.

He's had 10 fights since then. It shows you what an absolute dick Warren is to drag someone through the courts when he knew full well he hadn't paid them and had liquidated the company to make sure he never received the purse he had risked his health in the ring for.

He basically was already with TR.

TR and Warren work together. Warren is essentially TRs UK operation
