Ahhhh the much anticipated rematch, Morales revenge here iirc. The only one of the 3 I've never scored, although I did see it a couple years ago. Glad to watch it again.

Me and Lederman disagreed on alot of rounds. The judges were blind, I can't believe I was watching the same fight as them, truth be told. The fight was an awesome technical eye-opener with an amazing 12 round. Barrera showed some excellent versatility here. Morales didn't really look the better fighter here though, moreso the busier fighter. Both of these guys love a tear up, typically Mexican.

Barrera's style is always likened to Chavez's, but I disagree. Barrera was much more inclined to feint, bait and counter than Chavez was, who was more bullish and brash with how he set about landing his power shots. Barrera is more like Vicente Saldivar(or Tyson to use a non-Mexican), in how he attacked by letting the opponent overreact and present opportunities. His boxing style is awesome too, and works off the same principles, but I'd be lying if I said I prefered it.

Morales' style is more like Zarate's or Gomez's than any other 122lber imo, in that he boxed brilliantly on his toes or could hold his feet and stalk, pressuring whilst setting up huge shots to the head and body from either hand.

Yeah, I'll get the third done on Saturday, unless I have a tragic day tomorrow, which let's be honest isn't unlikely.

The third fight still has the most vivid memories in my head. Back in the party days and we were all out on Saturday night. Ended up at some house on Sunday morning and we watched the fight about 9 or 10. Was strange before smartphone and updates of trips to the toilet every 5 seconds. The result of the fight managed to remain a mystery until the end. I was the only Barrera fan in the house and was well happy. Yay.

    Great trilogy.

The finale, done for @CST80. Iirc this was just as good as the first and a brutal war.

Obviously I disagreed with the decision, but of the 3 rounds that could go either way(3,5&6) I gave 2 to Morales, so I don't really care which way the decision went. Definitely not as good as the 1st, but definitely better than the 2nd. Excellent rivalry and excellent trilogy.

Barrera looked a little gunshy here compared the first, but more reverted back to his preferred, aggressive style. Morales, on the other hand, fought how he normally did and out-worked Barrera.
