Couldn't care less about the politics of boxing & Hearn or Warren - This is exactly the type of fight we want to see. I couldn't care less about Joshua flying to Saudi fighting an overweight cash grab of a fight versus Ruiz Jr I want to see the best fight the best. I will happily pay for a PPV when the best ranked fighters fight the best in their division ONLY. Any of Wilder vs Fury / Joshua or Joshua vs Fury is worthy PPV always. Chisora / Whyte etc sorry not unless you are challenging for the title vs one of the above 3

Both camps know it too, Fury just wants Wilder's WBC belt to set up money fight vs Joshua.

 

The big money for the fight will be made in America at $79 per PPV. UK PPV is bonus money and BT have to cough up said bonus money whether they make it or not because sky made a big offer for the fight that BT have to at least match.

 

in fairness this is bound to get a heck of a lot more viewers now, seeing as ITV documentary is giving exposure

 

If BT can't make good money with this fight they might as well give up on PPV.

 

I think the problem is the amount they've had to guarantee to get the fight.

They had to match a big bid from Sky, who made a large bid knowing if they won they had the subscriber base to cover their costs.

That left BT Sport between a rock and a hard place. They had invested so much in Fury that they had to get this fight, but the price they've paid is likely to make it a Pyrrhic victory.
