I've got Spinks in a comfortable decision here. Thoughts?

yea, u would think what fergy says, BUT, Leon was a busy mofo! But still, Greg at his best beats almost anybody. If Greg is not at his best Leon outhustles him.

Page by KO- when Page trained he was a talented guy who had power - when he did not train he was just like the rest of the boring heavyweights of the era and he would be in a lean fest - IMO any version best Leon but in condition Page- prime to prime gets the stop much like he grant says under 5

I guess it just comes down to who’s better prepared. My inclination is to go with Greg Page as long as he isn’t having one of his Get KTFO by Mark Wills kind of nights..

I'll take the Spinks of the first Ali fight to press him all night for a UD

Depends entirely on which one trained for the fight. Both training for the same fight is almost a statistical impossibility.

Page will land his straight right hand on this guy just like Coetzee did. Or Holmes did when Leon got another title shot.

Spinks is open for right hands and he can't deal with guys that threw a quick and accurate one. The best his defense allows is avoiding the old Ali or wide right hands like Mercado's. Not the quick right hands guys like a Greg Page could throw.

The biggest mystery with Leon was him not getting a Cooney fight early on===perfect type opponent for Gerry and a highlight reel ko.

I love Leon!!! He will die an American hero! Couldn't stand lazy greg. Slovenly, nonselfrespecting blight on boxing history.

Spinks is just a bit too small and lacking in heavy artillery here. The best of Page would eventually overcome him. He beat the untrained corpse of Ali and lost to the trained corpse of Ali. He was aggressive and positive against Holmes but got turned around pretty quick.

Greg by 3rd round kayo, possibly 2nd round Kayo, if his mind is on the prize. If not, Leon could outhustle Greg for a UD.

I would surely like to know the agenda behind this thread.
