I'd imagine it was families watching their kids fight getting a bit to rowdy

Doesn’t surprise me, I’ve seen watching friends and family nearby brawl watching sparring sessions before. Do they have proper security at these events?

Shocking. Wouldn’t want my kids boxing just because of that crap.

Shame for the kids who had fought their way to the finals. Very sad.

It will soon be next to impossible to hold Amateur Championships, providing the security required will not be affordable.

Fights weren't uncommon when I was on the circuit between supporters / families of the lads fighting, but a mass brawl is ridiculous. The thing is, in the amateurs there are a lot of tightly contested fights over three rounds where you can't really split them, so those on the wrong end of the decision will always feel hard done by. Might not be relevant in this case but worth noting.

Indeed. Also for all the people that put so much unpaid work into the amateur game. It's not awash with money and those people are the reason that young boxers can follow their dreams and make the most of their talent. They will have been working hard for this event for so long and they don't deserve to have a bunch of idiots spoil the event.
