Decent match up Thompson is underrated. Benavidez has already cleared out half of TMT gym and now they're going to throw Thompson in against him. Gavril x 2, Love, Douglin, and potential future foe and rival Plant often trains down there too.
Thompson looked great last time out a would be a good test for Benavidez. He is one of those guys that seems like a late bloomer/spoiler like Glen Johnson. Thompson can straight up fight.
Benavidez looks very good. He was hardly out of second gear against Direll who has previously fought 3 x 4 star and 3 x 3 star fights. He treated Direll as second rate.
Benavidez is the hottest property in baaaxing, ATM. No doubt. Love watching him, he would in my opinion, given a lvl playing field. (Ie judges no hydration clause ) clean PEDnellos clock. Thompson is a bit of an unknown to me at least. I will be tuning in
Interesting fight. Thompson appears to have some real craft to his game. And Benavidez, while not quite worthy of the cult-like following he enjoys around here, is a very good young fighter.
Yawn..... When is weight bully Benavidez going to fight a top 10 guy? Let's be honest here Thompson is a tough and cagey guy but Benavidez will probably still manage to coast to a decision while looking very unimpressive in the process.
