There's no goddamn way in hell Spence beats the pre-GGG Good Boy'd Special K when he, at best, went life and death against that clearly damaged goods version of Brook prior to that savage billy goat butt from hell in round 8 that shattered Kell's non-Good Boy'd orbital socket. Kell was not only coming off a stoppage loss, a bad beating, back down from 2 divisions North after bulking up to fight up there, he was also coming off a terrible eye injury and absolutely gruesome surgery to repair it (like having your eyeball removed via your mouth gruesome) and the psychological scars alone he had to battle, both during the aftermath of the GGG fight and the recovery period which followed it and during the fight against Spence, when they immediately came back to haunt him as soon as his other eye went were immense.

From the 00:26:45 mark to about the 00:31:50 mark

Confirmed virtually everything I've been saying for years.

You can not simply drop a bomb like that and run away. Both of those guys have better resumes than ggg and both are more accomplished.

Just makes you realise how much of a poor job Eddie has done with him.

Hearn is an abysmal matchmaker, IMHO.

He was neck and neck with Spence to be honest. Only at the very end Spence separated.

Hagler is overrated. His only great win was Hearns who was at his best at 147 and 154, who GGG could have absolutely knocked out. And I'm a big, big Hearns fans. But GGG is someone who actually matches fairly well with Hearns.

Hagler is by far one of the most overrated fighters of all time. Getting beat by a shot Leonard who looked off in his return after a detached retina is not the making of a great, even if Hagler himself was past his prime he was active and looked just fine in his last fight. He also struggled with Duran, a ridiculously smaller fighter who was nowhere near his prime.

Very, very overrated fighter. Also, like GGG to be honest, he never dared to move up, just wanted to make his name off guys coming up.

'Name' fighters almost always begin their careere fighting with a size advantage.

Those wins hagler has at mw are still much better than jacobs in fact light years better. Ggg hasn't demonstrated the ability to beat a fighter on the level of hearns nor duran. He would beat ggg any way he wanted going to war or outboxing him.

I think he did well. He would always have lost to Erroll Spence. Unfortunately Khan did not want it.

ok, that is fine, but i'm just saying this thread is created because some believe brook was/is the real deal and i think it was just smoke and mirrors because of the size advantage

he can prove himself at 154 but i dont think he beats a charlo or even lara

Thanks. It's absurd to think that Spence who let's not forget has only beaten 2 world class fighters his own size, damaged goods Brook and Porter both of whom either were or should've been coming off losses, and he struggled badly against both (I thought Porter was at least worthy of a draw), when you factor in everything Brook had been through going into and during that fight. There's simply no way that could even have been remotely close to the best Brook and Spence went life and death against that version.
