Originally slated to be part of a planned Oleksandr Usyk vs. Dereck Chisora bill on March 28th @ the O2, but has now found a new home on the Dillian Whyte vs. Alexander Povetkin card a month later. Eddie Hearn is reportedly determined to shoehorn this in on some heavyweight blockbuster package or another.

Hrgović is rated WBC #7, IBF #8, and WBO #14. Bakole is currently not ranked top fifteen by any major org.

I''m sure most won't be thrilled by hearing this, but, I think Bakole KO's Hrgovic.:nusenuse:

Reckon he's a chip off the ol' block, then?

(for anybody not aware, or curious about his full name in my title - he is the brother of WBC cruiserweight titlist Ilunga "Junior" Makabu)

Or are you just that underwhelmed by Hrga?

You may be onto something, though...Matchroom recently snatched up Bakole, and have been really horned up for this match-up. So they must see the same thing you're seeing.

Yeah, a little bit, although blessed with an even better chin than his older brother.

As far as Filip goes, I'm not necessarily unimpressed, he's all around fairly decent, but he has defenses lapses and his power I question, he looks like a million bucks destroying some guys, then he struggles with getting Heredia and Molina out of there. So I think if someone can last past the 4th or 5th round and catch him when he's tiring, or a bigger puncher than Molina catches him with one of the flush bombs the Drummer Boy landed on him, it might be nighty night for Hrgovic.

Bakole brings good pressure, is heavy handed as hell, a brick shithouse and moves fairly well for someone as big as he is, he also dealt with KJ far more impressively than Dubois did, not just in stopping him, but in his ability to land punches.

Both very overrated but I think Hrgovic has too much for him. Dont really care who wins tbh.

I wasn't impressed at all by the last performance of Hrgovic against Molina. Didn't look very sharp, although I like him, I feel like there might be an upset here.

I like this fight a lot. I'm also leaning towards Bakole, he puts his shots together very well. But then this could be one of those fights where the other dude - Hrgovic in this case - shows what level he's truly capable of fighting at.

    Hoping it comes off.

I got Bakole in this one. If he comes in shape the guy hits very hard, he has a good work rate and has power in both hands as well as a decent chin.

Interesting fight. Not massively impressed by Hrgovic as of yet, and he showed major defensive lapses in the Molina fight that would be dangerous against a monstrous puncher like Bakole. Don't really want to pick a winner here.

I'd pick Bakole but... I have a feeling Hrgovic is one of those who fights to the level of the opposition.

The better the opponent then the better he will be.

Good fight though, interesting and I'd love to see it.

Hrgovic for me, and by stoppage. I expect this to be a messy fight with a fair bit of clinching and Hrgovic punches well and keeps his power close in...

Both have very good power and very good chins so I dont see a stoppage here, neither is accurate enough or has the timing to really drop a nuke on the other to end it early.
