    Mayweather was too manipulative outside the ring to ever be considered for such an award!
    That’s why his legacy is so tarnished and why he isn’t universally considered an ATG
    He isn’t considered the best because he isn’t!

    He and his team spent his whole career in the mistaken belief that beating disadvantaged opponents or fighting ‘Named Fighters’ when they weren’t at their best would secure his place in history! Now that he’s retired and he’s not considered to be as good as he thought he was, he’s bitter!

    Lots of people have money from long careers in many different industries and Mayweather is just another!
    He hasn’t become the Legend he ached so much to be!

    He's always had an exaggerated opinion of his own achievements. Undefeated or not, he can't compare to other athletes who spent their whole careers competing against the very best their sports had to offer when he spent his avoiding the very best his sport had to offer. He has his money, much more than he likely deserved, and he should be happy with that. But he wants more. He wants the credit that accrues to the great sportsmen who tested their limits time and again taking the hard route, taking their lumps. He sacrificed that for easy money. Now, he wants both. But he'll never get the respect that an Ali had, because he didn't earn it.
