Just some background on it for ya's.

Duran is a former LW, who actually started at and a 37 year old man.

Barkley was a prime MW coming off his biggest win. Said win was over one Tommy Hearns, who obviously polaxed Durán years prior.

@Pat M not a singular fight, but you ever see Miguel Canto? I'd like to know your opinion on him.

I hadn't seen Canto before. I didn't have time to watch the whole fight right now, but I watched a few rounds and skipped around watching. He's a good fighter. I like his jab, his hook off the jab, his inside fighting, his footwork, he has good technique and the only thing he does that I would criticize is that he fights going backward when he is shorter than his opponent. But, he does a nice job going backward even though he is giving up height and reach. Do you like him? He looks good to me.

Too right, probably my favourite to watch from a technical perspective, or one of them at least.

Fairly certain I had it 116-111 Durán over the Blade.

How in God's name did Al Bernstein have Iran Barkley winning that fight?

I lost my RBR scorecard for this one but had it 115-113 Saunders. Eubank began to steal a few rounds in the 2nd half of the fight but the damage was done by then. It looked close on paper but comfortable enough for Saunders.

You're a fan of beautiful, crisp movement and boxing ability, right @George Crowcroft?

Not a monster war by any stretch, or even the most entertaining, but a master class in studying boxing, footwork and movement is Tapia vs Konadu. Probably Tapia's most disciplined performance, career wise. Thought it'd be good since you were 'studying'.

And if you haven't seen Tapia vs Romero, watch it now! In fact, anything Tapia is a good watch, especially Ayala 1 and 2.

I stopped 'studying' when I got back on the gym. :p

Recently I've been wading through footage of assorted BW greats. Yeah, I'll give it a watch.
