Deontay Wilder will never be the real HW champion unless he fights and defeats Anthony Joshua

    Fury's win over Wlad>>>>AJ's
Wilder\Fury not getting splattered by Ruiz>>>>>Getting splattered by Ruiz.
I also think both beat AJ H2H.

I would say beating chisora twice, wlad, fighting wilder twice- potentially three times in a career of only 30 fights is not so bad.

    and also winning

    Irish belt
    British belt
    Commonwealth
    European
    WBA
    WBO
    IBF
    Ring
    Lineal

and he should really have the WBC to his collection

ain’t all that bad for 30 fights

I've got Wilder winning on Saturday, I don't like him all too much(although watching the build-up for this is reminding me why I liked him in the first place), but if he picks up a win against Fury he'll be #1.

I'm sorta torn with how I set my rankings out at the minute, on a H2H basis or by accomplishments. If I was to go by H2H, I'd have Usyk #1, Wilder #2, Fury #3 and Joshua #4 but Usyk has no HW background to speak off so having him immediately #1 doesn't sit right with me. Joshua clearly has the best résumé and career so far(despite the blip against Ruiz), and is coming off the best performace, there's no way anyone else is #1 based off achievements. I say this, as what the win on Saturday will do, for either fighter, is eclipse everyone else in terms of best win, and take one of the other top 4 out of the mix.

Whoever wins on Saturday is definitely #1. It shouldn't, and isn't, up for debate.

The winner of Wilder vs Fury is #1 for me.

No it's definitely not bad and he's well ahead of Wilder in resume and achievements. He's the only world class opponent Wilder has faced, albeit there will be big question marks on both occasions, firstly due to his lack of fitness and preparation, this time due to the cut.

Not really seeking to denigrate either of them, it's to point out that each of them have some big questions surrounding them. Anyone seeking to make Saturday's winner a clear leader in the division, even if it's one v two, has to acknowledge them or be dismissed as hopelessly biased.

Put it this way. There was a clear number one based on achievements, resume, belts etc. Wilder was 2, with the aforesaid question marks and he fought Fury who was 12th. On the strength of that fight Fury became 2 and once AJ lost they became 1 and 2.

Effectively two flawed guys have used each other to bootstrap their way past AJ. They deserve to be in those three positions, but the fight on Saturday is only part one of answering them. Ultimately the undisputed fight will be the point where a real champion is crowned.

To be honest I can’t see AJ- Wilder ever happening. Wilder 35 coming on, and it looks like there could be a 3rd with fury. Man there might even be a 4th.

more likely fury fights aj due to nationality but fury sees his future in America.

All 3 guys will be gone in 3-4 years, I don’t see where AJ is getting shoehorned in

Subjectiveness at its finest, hilarious how people co-sign your pompously self righteous rhetoric.

    Cheers to you sir.

It is the same for them all..

AJ won't be recognised as number 1 unless he defeats the winner of Wilder or Fury and Fury or Wilder won't really be recognised as number 1 unless they defeat AJ but they will have more of a claim.

    Joshua has never avoided anybody.

He's been trying to get a fight with the craven Wilder for years. He' says he wants to fight Fury if he wins on Saturday.

Of course he says he wants to fight Fury, that's who he's hoping wins. If Wilder wins, expect him to have a third fight with Ruiz in North Korea.

Alternately, AJ isn't champ unless he beats the winner of Wilder vs Fury. Basically you got those 3 fighting for the top spot and imho whoever wins this weekend will be as close to being "the man" in HW as we've seen since Klitschko's era ended.
