I got the impression Fury genuinely meant he was going for the stoppage the first time I heard him say it and nothing changed after hearing him repeat that in any of the dozen or so if not more interviews I've subsequently seen since then. It's a shame he feels that way because it plays into Bootleg D's hands, but he's already been robbed blind and Bootleg D was too much of a female dog to fight him over in the UK so I can totally understand why he feels he has but no choice than to try and take it out of the judge's hands. I just hope he doesn't genuinely believe he can trade with Bootleg D because he wasn't exactly iron-jawed even back in his prime.
Imagine if you took the knockdowns out of the first fight, it was a terrible fight for the two supposedly best heavyweights some rounds they barely engaged, people’s memories are clouded. Fury was unfit but wilder was gassing a lot. I haven’t watched the fight back since the week of the fight but I remember there was a lot of time off for both fighters... let’s have none of that please
eh? have you seen how many wilder KOs are started by his opponent closing the space and walking onto a right hand?
I'm still picking Fury, he has to be at least 20% better than the first fight which is more than enough margin to win.
The thread starter needs to change the title of the thread to Fury. It's going to be a short night Saturday.
Fury's not going to be upright long enough tomorrow night for the cut to open. Wilder early. Like minutes not rounds. Wilder is going to be punching harder than he has in any other fight. I'm so happy with his weight. And I've been telling people for 14 months that Fury's performance in their first fight will go down as probably the best in his career. A stationary Fury is Dominic Breazeale. The best boxer in the division comes in fat. Bad move on his part.
