I lost quite some respect for Joyce after seeing him against Stiverne. Thought he'd impress more. Dubois is very young and has less experience than Joyce I guess, but I think he'll make it via KO and also dominating the whole fight.
I like Joyce. Always seems very well balanced and fluid to me. Slow and ponderous but he a bit of a Foreman clubbing style, with Louis balance about him. Maybe its just me...
He's got a good gas tank and chin but he's never going to be World Level. Far too slow and easy to hit.
I like a lot of what I see in Dubois. He is developing a good jab but I do think he is overrated. His resume is very thing though certainly compared to Joyce . When I look at Joyce’s professional career I note he made his debut against Ian Lewison and he stopped him which is a major statement of intent. He also stopped Joe Hanks, Bermane Stiverne and a decision over Bryant Jennings. Dubois’s record clearly does not compare and with the exception of Nathan Gorman the level of competition is atrocious. People talk a lot about Dubois’s power but what impresses me most is his persona and his apparent dedication to the game. I like the fact he is not trying to be friends with anybody. I do think he needs to step up his competition and continue to learn his trade and develop but not convinced Joe Joyce is the right opponent for him at this stage. No one and I mean no one is going to have it easy with Joe Joyce.
That's what I like about this one Olu. If Dubois can't have a fight, Joyce will take him apart. Best British Heavyweight fight for years.
Don't be shocked if Dubois gets Ko'd early. Joyce is more aggressive and I think more durable. Plus he can intimidate. I still can't believe Joyce is taking this fight. Best prediction, Joyce Ko in 4.
Dubois has been wobbled in fights but lucky for him he was fighting guys unable to finish the job... the type of guys you use to Pad a Record... Joyce will most likely try to break down Dubois, tenderize him, make him gass then get a late TKO.
I'm a fan of both these guys. I didn't really want to see this fight yet, think it's a daft fight for joyce to take. He has to win this or its a massive setback. For Dubois he has time on his side. Huge risk for Joyce. To be honest I hope Joyce can do it for the above reasons. I don't know it's a hell of a fight, Dubois is an animal with destructive power and a fantastic jab, but joyce is a also a freak with a granite chin and ridiculous stamina I would have to side with youth and explosive power of Dubois, especially when Joyce is so open. I think both could challenge for world titles, it's a high level fight this, might both be rookies in the pro game but imo these are both top tier heavies already.
