He wouldn't last a round or 2 with Wilder? He lasted longer than that against Liston who not only likely hit harder but was also MUCH more skilled (make me laugh by saying otherwise).

The guy who is in shape.

If you have time, it would be great to start a thread where the winning percentage of guys who keep their shirt on at the weigh in for championship fights is calculated out.

Cleveland Williams broke Sonny Liston's nose in their short 1959 bout before Sonny kayoed him.

Yeah, that was a bit suspicious. Makes it hard to pick.

My tip going in to the last fight was that Fury would win if he was in the right place mentally and had prepared right. He had and he did (even though the judges robbed him of the win).

This time I feel the same way, but even stronger. Fury should be better with more training and fights under his belt, so while you can never rule out a KO with Wilder's power Fury should be able to do even better than last time. But Fury is a wild card mentally, and sacking Davidson seemed a bit strange from the outside. In worst case for Fury it could be that he thought Davidson demanded too much and wanted someone who would just go along and not bug him about training and living right. If Fury shows a sizeable belly with the shirt off tonight then I will think that this is what happened.

But it could also be meant as a mind game against Wilder. That he wants Wilder to guess, as I do, about why he kept the shirt on. If the weight Fury put on is muscle, like it is for Wilder, or if it's flab.

No Neck has a point. The BS decision often goes to the more popular fighter fighting in his home country or area. That was a reason Wilder got a draw. One judge had it 115-111 for Wilder! How?

The re-match is in the USA, and Wilder is a still the cash cow. He has two excellent managers. Once Wilder loses, his stock is going down. This might help Mike Hunter's stock. His name has been in the press lately, I say as a hedge.

GGG probably got his draw because he past his prime and was facing a guy most boxing fans don't care about.

We all know ( Well maybe some Wilder fans don't ) that Fury is the better boxer by far. So did Fury reverse course and hire a trainer who's more likely to favor an aggressive offense, which is what Wilder needs to help land his bomb? Fury should stick with what worked, firing his jab, and countering with a quick body shot or hook when Wilder swings and misses.

Fury should be in shape to box and move for 12 rounds, yet he comes in fat at a high weight? He said he also cut out road work. There were rumors Fury's training wasn't so good.

A month ago, I thought Fury would win the decsion. Now I'm less sure of that pick.

I kind add that I think it wlll be a mistake if Fury does as promised and goes for the KO. Bad idea to go into Wilder's terrain. People say that Wilder showed a new kind of patience against the last fight with Ortiz, but patience like that won't do him much good against a taller opponent who can just put his jab in his face from a distance. Fury is the one who wins from a patient fight. Making a fight out of it is not in his best interest.

Yep, there certainly are unknowns here. Fury have after all shown himself to be a loose cannon before. If he has done a Ruiz weight wise he clearly hasn't taken it seriously enough. We'll see how he looks without a shirt on.

Fury is a pathological liar. I don't take anything he says seriously, ever.

Not power department imo..Big Cat could crack with the best of them, or had power in different punches, where as Wilder is predominantly a right hand puncher, serviceable left hook and a half decent jab. Wilder is tougher in the chin department though clearly, though I think Wilder folds from the same shots Liston was landing on Williams

Neither do I. The fact that he came in so heavy makes it more believable, though.

Fury is 31 now and can never make the 250 range again. He made weight healthily this time , opposed to the weight loss camp he had last time which made his punches limp and powerless.

Haye who was at the weigh-in said he looks leaner this time. His arms have never been more defined. The extra weight is strong lean muscle... Fat he certainly is not.

When Fury is fit and healthy at this weight his punches are heavy and have a draining effect on the opponents life essence.

Its a good gameplan for Fury to club Wilder as the power should make him less confidant in swinging the knock out blow with reckless abandonment.
Make no mistake about it , Fury is in the best shape of his life for this fight.

Wilder is a quick starter with too much range - I don't see Williams surviving Wilder for too long - styles - Laugh you are never right anyway- Who do you pick tonight and how? Fury-Wilder?
