We saw tonight why Wilder was protected from powerful punchers after Nichols and Scroniers who dropped Wilder and originally exposed Wilders glass jaw. Fury isn't even a powerful puncher but Wilder step up in class from his usul bum carousel and got exposed.

I don't how anyone can think that the likes of AJ, Whyte, Usyk, Ruiz, Parker Hunter and Povetkin wouldn't batter Wilder. Hell I would even back Chisora against Wilder.

Great that Fury won, we might get Fury vs AJ now. Wilder wouldn't of fought AJ.

Had a feeling Fury would win by
UD but immensely impressed in the manner in which he did it tonight. He gambled, dared to be great and stands as the worlds No 1 heavyweight.

Lots of people here fooled by the Fury weight gain. Looks like Big John and Big Shane were spot on. Big John Fury’s analysis after Wallin was completely spot on, he knows his son better than anyone.

As a lot of us here have always said, the best way to beat Wilder is to stick it on him and go for the KO early. Wilder’s team should have stopped that before the final round, it was like Haye v Bellew I when you could see that Wilder could barely stand like Haye and was a sitting duck.

Fair play to Fury. Proved plenty wrong and justifiably now can be considered number one at the weight.

I do wonder where this leaves Wilder. For all the talk of a rematch clause what would be the point? Might as well have made Calzaghe Lacy II. There may be some mitigation if he was injured but it’ll sound like a pretty weak excuse. He’s been very clearly exposed.

This win will raise Fury to another level now in terms of popularity.

Punch perfect from Fury. Has shut those people up who mocked his masterclass against Klitschko as boring and cautious; that WAS a masterclass. Absolutely battered Wilder and actually it was a very good move to pull him out, he was getting beaten up and would have been taking unnecessary damage.

Well done Tyson. The king is dead, long live the Gypsy King!

I dont think Wilder will want any part of a trilogy fight. I think its Joshua in September. And it goes exactly the same way as this.

Fury could beat Joshua on front foot or back foot. That's not AJ hating just Fury is on a different level.

I never rated the Klitschko fight and wasn’t a fan of Fury’s negative boring style. However, he’s been entertaining as **** in his last 4 fights and tonight was an historic performance. Returns to the top of the pile and we can only hope the AJ fight gets made this year.
