Recently, he has been making noise about retiring again. If that is what he wants, I respect it, and it would be good for his health. They almost all get out too late. But I noticed tonight that he said about his new team "we are just getting started in this style." It is a small clue, but I think a clue nonetheless. He's not going anywhere. Based on recent history, he is a level above Joshua. After that, there are some good fights with legit guys who are taylor made for him, like Parker, Povetkin, and Ruiz, who are two small to get in his range and not powerful enough to make it count when the do. Beyond that, there are about 20 good prospects out right now, but none of the ones on deck, like Joyce or Hrgovic, look all that great. I predict that he will be around another five years or so.
He has a good 5-6 years left to give. To be a truly great legend, you need to have a sizable amount of title defenses. He should beat everyone out there and retire on top just like Lennox Lewis did
I think he finds when he dedicates himself to preparing for a fight he ends up in better shape and lives a better quality of life. And thus is more willing to consider having a long career now vs how he felt before training camp started.
