Tyson Fury is the greatest, the most popular and the richest heavyweight boxer in the world.

I knew this would happen. Won a bet (on this site). Well done to Fury.

Maybe but this was always going to happen.

Wilder has been brutally exposed. He’d been in massive trouble against Ortiz both times and got out of jail. He barely snuck a draw against Fury first time. Now he’s just been destroyed.

He’s been a world champion for five years and never beaten a single one of Klitschko, Joshua, Fury, Parker, Ruiz, Whyte, Povetkin, Pulev, Usyk or Martin. He’s been built up by virtue of being a weird looking oddball character who looks the part stopping the likes of Duhaupas and Washington. His CV is full of style but almost no substance.

And yet over recent months, weeks and days a lot of people here were acting increasingly convinced that he'd savagely KO Tyson Fury this time around.

    And those predictions were wrong.

My point still stands. Who has Wilder beaten? Indeed, how does his record stand up against not just the all time greats, but the likes of Rahman, Tua, Moorer, McCall?

Is he really just a latter day version of Shannon Briggs?

Here to give fury credit brilliant performance
Threw a great amount of leather which I've accused him of not doing enough in the past
Walked him down carrying genuine power sitting on shots
Didn't leave any stone unturned as was it great that he was not leaving it to the judges

His best performance to date imo
Brilliant heavyweight boxing from Mr Tyson fury

Never doubt The Gypsy King. Faultless display of both boxing and punching.

I had Fury on Points but he went one better.

The fraud has been dethroned, it has been a long time coming and the WBC (We Be Crooks) must be gutted. Lol. F**k em!

Lancashire has a new WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Tyson Luke Fury. WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Whyte going to be made to wait even longer now
all the British heavy weights should shut out the wbc
fury should hand it back to wilder and just laugh at him and them
Minimal % from there on in
that's what you get holding straps hostage and making the rules up as you to along
Fury as the ring making wbc irrelevant

This is spot on. The same blokes telling us how bad Wilder is were the same blokes backing him to spark Fury early. The crux here is that both opinions were fabricated to downplay Mr. Fury.

Anyway, who cares. It's a day of celebration. Fury 2.0 will beat the breaks off AJ. He can slip and slide for the first few rounds and break him down late. Stylistically he's a nightmare for AJ whose frailties were exposed by Andy Ruiz. It's worth noting Wilder didn't quit against Fury despite the savage beating and I'd still back Wilder to ice AJ.

lol yep :ciappa: I did pick fury to win originally but I lost belief in him when he came in that heavy . Never been so pleased to be proved wrong, that was amazing. I don’t care how people try to discredit Wilder now, the fact is he was seen as the most dangerous man on the planet and Fury rendered him pretty much useless from the opening bell. The man is an inspiration and i think I’m done doubting him. The questions will come again against AJ, but I’m backing Fury from the off this time.
