Will Wilder fans drop him too?

Wilder did have this look on his face in the 2nd round that looked like he was in shock, he was wide eyed and probably couldn't believe what was happening. Last time I saw such an expression on a boxers face was when Lewis dropped Golota the first time.

Fury was in his head before, now he's stopped him Fury as a permanent residence in the mind of Deontay Wilder. I'll be surprised if he wants the rematch, if it happens it's because Finkel and Haymon have decided to throw Wilder to the wolves and get one last payday out of him.

If his "fans" drop him then they was never his fans in the first place.

The better man one. Both of them are warriors they both proved that in the first fight and last night. I seriously don't get why people find it so hard to grasp that you can be fans of both fighters, like myself.

I will continue to follow both of there careers like I have done for years now. Wilder can come back from this. Got nothing but respect for Fury and Wilder.

Yeah, assuming Wilder hasn't become cowed by this loss I'd still love to follow him. Fight with Whyte looks a lot more attractive right now, and he could still give anyone in the top ten who isn't Fury, Usyk or Joshua a good fight.

Trouble is I really worry that this loss will destroy him inside. The damage has only just begun, and Wilder was never going to take a loss easily, let alone one where he was basically beaten up every round, knocked down twice and forced to be pulled out. We're going to find out what Wilder's really made of in the next few weeks/months, as well as his next performance out. Wilder's a brave guy, but he's still human, and he's just suffered one of the most humiliating and one-sided losses that anyone can have in front of the whole world. Really hard to come back from that.

He's not only permanently living rent free in Wilder's head, he's kicked Wilder out and is forcing him to pay him rent, while he jet sets around the States and Germany. Next acquisition, a rather bland but valuable head-property in London...

Still a huge Wilder fan. Hoping he bounces back. I’d love to see him vs. other interesting opponents. Whyte, Ruiz, Usyk, these would be fun

Probably not. Seems most couldn't even get behind Danny Jacobs simply because he lost a fight early on in his career.

People who drop a fighter after his first loss aren't fans of fighters. They are fans of winners. They'll defend and applaud anything a person does so long as they are successful but desert them once the stink of failure accrues. Disloyal jackals.

That's good, but what about Wilder's lame excuses?
