Yeah, but they hang on to this narrative of "AJ's resume" for dear life. They have an almost religious faith in the deep meaning of wins against a 39 year old Povetkin and a then-unranked-and-British-level Whyte, and the disappointing Parker .... and 41 year old Wlad.
And, in a few months time, 39 year old Pulev will join the list.

Never mind that Povetkin and Pulev were/are Wlad's leftovers .... and that Wlad was Fury's leftovers.

They are still insisting AJ has a clearly better resume than Fury !

I was actually insisting AJ has a better resume than Wilder, which he does. That’s not really up for debate.

I still think again that had Wilder Joshua happened Joshua beats him, but we’ll never know because Wilder ducked it. Oh well.

Why do you even bother replying to me? You keep saying it’s a waste of time and how boring you find me. Fine. Just ignore me. I do it to people who bore me.

Instead I offer my opinion which can be right or wrong; nobody is perfect when predicting the future. And when you don’t like it, you go on some mad rant. Chill out mate - your favourite fighter of all time has just won the world title and you’re spending your Sunday morning crying about how ‘Tony Hayers’ should be banned for life.

Don't worry about me, I'm absolutely buzzing. However, you needed many home truths for the insufferable environment you've made the forum to be and you've got them now. Goodluck.

@Hattonmad and @TonyHayers C’mon guys I enjoy and take things from both of you BUT your personal vendetta with each other pretty much hijacks nearly every heavyweight thread. I normally just hit the ignore button on those ‘tards who grind my gears that much ;)

Conveniently neglecting AJ ducking the 50 million dollar offer which given the figures for Fury/Wilder was absolutely realistic.

Or the fact he was at Showtime then made a deal with DAZN making the fight virtually impossible.

Oaft! As one sided as last night.

Hayers spitting blood. Seething. Let me say that word again... seething. Steam coming out his ears.

    Glad that Fury won.

I am hoping Wilder doesnt activate the rematch clause and we get AJ vs Fury in the summer.

I reckon AJ stops him inside 5, stylistically all wrong for Fury.

See this is why boxing is such a great sport; I respectfully completely disagree with your opinion, and think that actually, Fury is all wrong for Joshua and literally cannot see a way Joshua beats a fully focused Fury.

However, I'm on the same page as you as wanting to see that fight ASAP. What a fight and what an occasion it will be!

I didn't get to see the fight live due to unforseen circumstances but watched it first thing this morning then again this afternoon. What a top class performance from Fury. Cemented his position as top dog and done it in style and battered Wilder in the end. I was sceptical when Fury said he was coming out and going for the KO from the get go, but he did as he said he would and it was brilliant to watch. I picked Wilder by KO before both of his fights with Fury and got it completely wrong. I don't think I'll be picking against Fury again. He backed up everything he said and I've got nothing but praise for his performance last night. Absolutely no need for the third fight, and if Fury vs Joshua doesn't happen within the next 12 months it will be a major disappointment. I wish they would just give Pulev some step aside money and get straight into making Fury vs Joshua.

Hopefully the fact that Arum promotes Pulev can actually get this done, assuming Wilder doesn't enforce the rematch clause. I don't think he should either as it is pretty meaningless other than being a good moneymaker for him. Maybe he can agree a rematch after the undisputed fight next summer?

I had a feeling Fury was gonna do a number on him. Don’t think Wilder should be taking that third fight either. I struggle to see how he comes back from this tbh. That fight will have took a lot out of him.

I’m the guy that drops an eggy fart in a pub, but manages to maintain a poker face and even acts disgusted on the smell. I learnt my lesson in year 6 in primary school when my mate, Craig Welsby, did a fart in assembly that sounded exactly like a duck quacking. I was in bits laughing, and he was straight faced. Whole school thought i did it. The lessons we learn in life eh?
