Which other Brit heavies down the years could have finished Wilder in 7 rounds or even less?

Lewis is the only one I’d put money on. Several others could do so if the stars aligned.

Grant couldn`t have taken the shots Wilder took last night.

Bruno couldn`t have taken the shots Wilder took last night and Bruno couldn`t ride Wilder`s right hands the way Fury did in this rematch.

Wilder knocked Harrison out in a round.

Sorry Mark, but in your described scenario, is Frank Bruno fighting both Fury and Wilder at the same time?

Now that would be some feat.

With Francis in the corner and ignorance to the pre match Wilder hype, Bruno could be programmed to go forward with that thudding jab. He could also dominate in the clinch and was more dirty in there than Fury. Wilder seemed very naive with the infighting, although we do not know if or how concussed he was.

As long as he was dominant Bruno did not have stamina issues, they seemed more to do with mental rather than physical stress. So I think it is quite possible with the hindsight of this fight Bruno could have won inside six rounds.

Your post also seems to mention a Fury/Bruno match up, I would make Fury the warm favourite there.

Not many. Fury had the advantage in height reach, youth, and a big edge in weight. Plus he could move well for a man that size. Lennox Lewis might have beaten wilder faster than Fury but then again since he was Ko’d with right hands from McCall and Rahman the same thing could have conceivably happened in reverse. And no.... Frank Bruno does NOT beat Deontay Wilder.

AJ is probably feeling more confident that he could beat Wilder after witnessing the thrashing last night.

Bruno hit hard enough to bounce Wilder around. Fury isn't even a puncher and he looked like George Foreman vs Frazier in there the way he was bouncing Wilder like a basketball.

Did I miss something or was Wilder fighting Fury last night?
And not Lewis who hit a hell of a lot harder than Fury does.?
So yes Wilder did take some decent shots from Fury last
night and went 7rds, but does that mean Wilder takes
similar punishment from Lewis. No it doesn't. Like Grant got
smashed, Wilder would've been smashed in a
    couple rounds from Lewis.

Honestly the only one that I would fancy to do it is Lennox Lewis.

Some others might have been able to outpoint Wilder, or get him with a punch at the right moment.

    Lewis.
And Joshua if he asserts himself early.
Which is the same as what I would have said before last night too.

Can't rule out Big Frank here. He gave everyone except Tyson trouble - remember he was up on the cards vs Lewis, Spoon and Bonecrusher.

Who has Wilder beaten that Frank couldn't have whupped?

If he can give those three fits he can trouble Wilder who is less technical than certainly Lewis and Tim. Another point worth noting is that if Fury can drop Wilder numerous times, Big Frank can nail him to the floor. I'd have had a tenner on Frank in this fight.

I'm going to add Joshua, and Hide as those guys hit harder than Fury. And Joyce could do it too.
