fought a world class fighter fit and in his prime in his whole career, the bull**** went on that long that people started to believe the hype about him, when really, not only is he NOT the heaviest banger there has ever been, hes absolutely at sea with anyone remotely true world class. Anyway my question is and why ive made this thread, does anyone think Big D will now turn his hand to Basketball ?? Ive heard several say it now, or does he comeback stronger or maybe even retire ?? Thoughts
Wilder is too uncoordinated to be good at anything else besides punching geriatrics with heart problems and fighting poorly ranked opposition
I don’t think Wilder even had D-1 offers coming out of high school, so how is he going to return to basketball now at 34? Unless you’re talking about the Tuscaloosa rec league.
Levels mate, if he could slip over to Basketball at the same level he wants to operate at in Boxing, I think he'll clear up
It would be soo awesome if the Wlad sparring footage leaked in the next week or so. Just to put the final nail in the coffin
You guys are making me want to root for Wilder. He’s a good guy and lost a fight. Fury looked as good as he’s ever looked and had a great game plan. Guys lose fights and I credit him for taking the fight against a tough opponent. Wilder has said some crazy stuff over the years but I chalk that up to boxing promotion. Lots of fighters have said crazy stuff (Tyson, Ali, Fury, etc) and I think most of it is to create buzz for a fight. He seems like a decent guy and I hope he returns healthy. It’s a tough sport and he was giving up a lot of size and skill to Fury last night. I still think we haven’t seen the last of Wilder and still consider him dangerous. He’s never going to be a slick boxer but he has thunder in that right arm and usually finds a way to connect. Last night was not his night. Nothing more. We overreact and rate guys higher when they win and do the same when they lose. It would not surprise me to see Wilder KO a guy like AJ or other top HWs.
Wilder is a class fighter, he is not the best technical boxer but he compensates with very good chin, determination, speed and great power. He will most likely come back and have other fights, although I'm not sure if he will want to go with Fury for the third time.
and as soon as he lost the excuses rolled it things werent right? shut up and sit down... you lost like a beach.... he looked scared to death in there and tyson was beating his ass throwing him across the ring like a rag doll
Wilder can't retire that would ruin it...although it may be ruined already....i'm talking about the "Rumour" that Vlad is thinking of a comeback...no doubt it was tilted at wilder for a belt. Doubt he wants any part of Fury or AJ for that matter, so maybe the boat has sailed ....if not a Wilder dustup should bring Vlad up to speed...ish lol
Yup. Wilder's management thought Fury was DONE when he came back, otherwise they never would have fought him. First decent fighter in their prime he ever faced and Wilder was exposed and his shaky chin SHATTERED. Just like many of said would happen.
