Lol.. Of course now it's obvious, Marciano would have destroyed Wilder.. No doubt s whatsoever.
I mean, Marciano and Fury are so alike it's amazing, Rocky would beat him with the exact same tactics, Wilder stands no chance

How do the Wilder folks feel about this thread since the loss to Fury last night? As Teddy Atlas said,"Wilder can't fight!!!"

Exactly, Tyson Fury has shown everybody how to beat Wilder. All anybody needs to do is be in boxing for about 30 years, be completely relaxed in the ring, be able to fight at all ranges, orthodox and southpaw, be 6-9, 275, have arms that hang to your knees, and move like a guy a foot shorter and 100 pounds lighter...that's all it takes... I'm surprised that all of Wilder's opponents hadn't figured it out.

People are too quick too claim fighters as great before they earn it.

Also, I’ve been saying for years that Wilder beating Marciano is laughable, since Marciano was very good at making infight adjustments and would eventually neutralize Wilder and take him out. Wilder’s habit of backing up with his hands down and his chin exposed would be suicide against Marciano.

Medzhid Bektemirov, who was around Marciano’s size and can punch put Wilder on his back several times with 18oz gloves when Wilder visited our gym back in 2012 and Betkemirov on his best day is no Marciano.

Admittedly Wilder is good when he can control the pace and when he can find his range, but if you take away his range and control the pace his limitations really start to show, which is why Freddy was pissed that Fury was barely throwing anything in the first fight and let the fight go to the cards when Fury could’ve stopped Wilder in the first fight. Wilder got too used to guys not making him pay for his mistakes.

I'm not a 'Wilder folk' but Wilder would decapitate Marciano. It's really delusional to think otherwise. He has 15 inches in reach, 9 inches in height, 50lbs in weight and is much quicker than Marciano. Not to mention he only needs 1 punch to get the job done. The punches Marciano ate against Charles, Walcott and Moore he'd eat against Wilder, except Wilder's power is a whole other dimension.

Marciano has better stamina and is better pound for pound but they wouldn't fight in the same weight class today.

    Wilder by ko.

Let me know when you have footage of Marciano gaining 30 lbs over his opponent so that he can tie him up and lean on him to tire him out, using a long 80+ inch reach jab to control the distance and bust up the opponent, fast precise looping combinations that can get around an opponents guard, high ring IQ, and a chin proven against prime guys who were all over 6 feet and 210+ lbs.

Wilder showing defensive/stamina flaws in 1 fight, getting blasted in the ear and losing balance, and having an idiotic corner who offered no good advice isn't going to change the fact Rocky is a 1.5 dimensional slugger whose giving up 50 lbs and fights fire with fire.

Nice, very nice. Fury must have read your post because what you describe is EXACTLY what he did last night.

Now please tell me who wins the World Series this year; I want to make a bet!

Is this the same Teddy Atlas who repeatedly picked Wilder to win? He sure knows a lot.

Anyone who thinks last night's performance changes anything about a match-up with The Rock is deluded beyond hope. Perhaps Wilder struggled with a 270 pound, 6-9 guy who is fast of hand and foot and can close distance in a heartbeat, who decided to be aggressive.

I don't mind. You do you, but its quite strange to watch a featherfist with a low output bust Wilder up whilst fighting aggressively up close, them assume that a KO puncher with a high output can't.

Fair play for sticking to your guns, I guess.

What I saw last night was a fighter not known for power beat the **** outta Wilder. Wilder looking slow and uncoordinated as ever, and worried from the pressure being brought to him. He also didn't have a clue how to get to Fury inside. All this did was confirm what I've said for years about Wilder. These defensive shortcomings were just last night, they've been there his whole career.

Rocky embodies the fundamentals of what made Fury successful, and is much more relentless and powerful. He might not be stronger, and he might not be as big as Fury, but what's Wilder gonna do when he's up close pounding his body? And why would Wilder be 230 for Rocky? His peak weight is definitely around 215, meaning Rocky would be dealing with a 25/30lbs disadvantage, it's not like that hasn't been done before.

75/25 in favour of Marciano imo. If Wilder hits him right, it's over, and he'd have that opportunity.

    Oh and errrrrr remember this?
He's just fought someone who did this and was pounded pillar to post the whole fight. Soooooo yeah, I was right all along. Pressure is the (proven) way to beat Wilder.

Frazier, Ike and Marciano are poison for him imo.
