He obviously has a right to demand this, but nobody wants to see it

the first two fights clearly established who is easily the better fighter of the two

Contractual he has aright, but there’s no need for a third

It would merely waste time we could be dealing with other matchups that are far more appealing and needed

That matters as much as a forum poll, they have a contract.

I think he loses the 3rd fight but financially the rematch makes the most sense for Wilder. I also think Fury won't fight him again if he doesn't take it now. Fury has no desire or need to make a 3rd fight. Fury can fight bums for decent money while he chase the Joshua fight. If that fight gets made there will probably be rematch clause for it to. It will be years and years before Wilder gets a crack at fighting for a belt again. At 34 time isn't on his side and I don't see him improving. Take it now Wilder.

If the rematch did record breaking gates & good PPV buys, why not? I'd watch it.

Crazy as it sounds, social media sentiment seems to be leaning towards wanting to see a third fight. A lot of people actually think Wilder could’ve done better or should’ve been allowed to go out on his shield. :eyepop:

I don't think a 3rd fight would have anywhere near as much hype or interest as this last fight. The first fight only did 325K buys because Fury was seen as washed up and only there for a payday, but the result of that first fight with a dramatic ending made the rematch very marketable. A third fight would again be seen as a mismatch this time in Fury's favour and so I don't think it generates much interest outside of the hardcore fans.

Risk for Fury always. But if Wilder wins it makes for a back and forth exciting trilogy. I just think Fury should fight Joshua now. It is time.

I would definitely put in that rematch if I was Wilder. Cash in while you still can. The big paydays will be going away.

Given Jay Deas’ comments after this fight, I’m concerned that next time Wilder might get TKO’d by his entrance costume before reaching the ring.

    I like Wilder fights.

I respect the reality of his power and have since his am days.

I find him and his fights very exciting.

That said, I throughly dislike the slow and easy route he took to get to the title as well as after he got his belt. It is in my opinion not a positive thing for boxing. It drains the interest right out of the sport. I hate it. Wilder milked it, which is great for him, no doubt. Good for him. He kept his name in the convo as potentially unbeatable for how many years now before he finally stepped up twice against Fury. Brilliant move for him. I just never liked it. Not one bit.

Wilder was one of the best, the best need to fight the best. It took him a long time to fight the best. Too long for the fan but give it too him, we allowed him to milk us for years before finally stepping up twice.

AJ Fury only happens if Fury has the belt though. AJ will avoid that fight like the plague, the unification narritave is the only thing that makes it possible.

This. After the way Fury destroyed Wilder there isn’t much demand for them to fight a third time. If Wilder was at least competitive before getting stopped it would be one thing, but he wasn’t.

I just hope it isn't in NY. I could see Finkel dressing him back up in the suit and chucking him off the Brooklyn Bridge after another performance like that.
