Maybe Wilder can leverage some step aside money and guarantees from any Fury. Joshua fight.

In 19 rounds Wilder won 2, maybe 3 and got stopped. He is 34 and doesn't have any other way of fighting, he won't change if there was a 3rd.

The 3rd fight would be even easier for Fury. Let's get this unification underway in the UK and he can have his retirement fight later.

Wilder is irrelevant now. Maybe there is a cosplay convention he could take part in somewhere.

    W

Who are the "people" ? Some pro internet debaters like you ?

Only a fool would not pull the rematch clause or if the shoe would be on the other foot and Fury would have gotten starched he would pull it too you simpleton....

Newsflash; Boxing is a business, got that ?

Afterall to experts like you , Wilder is total bum so it should give you pleasure for him to get beaten again...........the question will be, is he going to spit his mouth piece out and quit too or is that a exclusive Bodybuilder patent ?

He ain't number 2 anymore, never was either. Fury has the WBC and Lineal, AJ has all the other belts. Wilder has 0.

I was hoping the delusion epidemic would be over when Wilder was to inevitably lose, I was clearly wrong!

August is too long away. Fury should have another fight in May

It is in the contract, it will earn Wilder good folding money so why would he not go for it.

Could Wilder do any worse in the fight than he did this time, no.

Wilder is hardly a fighter who has taken loads of punches in previous wars, so hes healthy, plus if he is going to lose then do so in championship fight, not in a non title fight, where he would earn considerably less.

Changing this team won't do any good since Wilder is too old to learn how to box.

As somebody (not a wilder hater, just not really a big fan...) Who supports other heavyweights I would respect him for doing this absolutely.

Not for Wilder. It gives him time to heal and get his mental together. Also to switch to a new trainer and prepare for Fury.

You could see Winkel was adamant about it on stage, before even talking to Wilder.
I think it's more dangerous for Fury's team if Wilder gets another shot. Going in with Wilder three times is definitely rolling the dice.
You outbox Wilder twice and then give him another chance to land a bomb.
Although the victory was comprehensive, Wilder isn't a normal fighter. It's not like you just repeat your tactics and almost certainly keep winning.
Those RH's Wilder threw early were super close to doing real damage, I guess they didn't land completely clean, but an inch here and there and Fury could have been on the floor again.
    So Fury shouldn't be overconfident.
And for Wilder it's just a bonus extra shot to turn everything around with his trusty RH, particularly with Fury attacking more.

It'd actually be better for Wilder's career if he stepped aside for now and let Fury-AJ battle it out. In the mean time he should get another couple of wins and then challenge the winner.

I don't think he's saying a 3rd fight wouldn't be lucrative for Wilder he's just saying the people don't want to see it. Look around the boards and that does seem to be common opinion. Boxing is a business and any clause might be Wilders only chance at a title fight. I'd watch it, of course I would but there are other fights I'd rather see now.
