https://www.*******.com/whyte-hearn-how-about-doing-whats-right-getting-my-shot--147045 Whyte is clearly getting frustrated with his promoter, and is always going to play 2nd fiddle to AJ as long as he's at Matchroom. I'm sure frank would be open to signing him, plus it makes the Fury fight easier to make.
It’s a strange one isn’t it. Whyte knows that he plays second fiddle to Joshua, but on the other hand he’s been marketed as a PPV fighter on that platform when it wasn’t even justified at the time. He’s been pushed as this top 4 fighter when I don’t think that’s the ‘real’ case. He’s top 10 and a real handful for anyone, but he’s not beating Fury, Joshua, Wilder, Usyk, Ruiz etc imo.
Plus Eddie offered him a shot at Joshua , which he turned down. I think he's happy to scoop up PPV loot against fringe fighters whilst playing the hard done to card.
Joyce is currently playing second fiddle to Dubois. You have have comments made by Sam Jones of frustration how they have been treated compared to Dubois. Hearn has turned Whyte into a PPV star and has him lined up as intrim champ for Fury and it would be easy to make a fight with cash cow with in AJ.
“Second fiddle to Joshua with match room” hang on a minute, so he’s going to sign with Warren and all of a sudden leap Fury and become Warren’s number 1 is he? Do me a favour.
I think we need to establish what the differences are in terms of signing with Frank and signing with TR. Fury is promoted by Arum and Frank appears to serve as the representative of the channel which shows his fights in the UK.
Strongly disagree with the OP here.He would be a mug to even consider a risk like that considering what he's built for himself at Sky/matchroom.
Whyte is just saying all this stuff to keep his name up there and involved in things , there is zero chance he’s going anywhere else but with Hearn/Sky/Matchroom after what they’ve built for him , wouldn’t make any sense.
Agreed but it's not like his not had offers. Whyte has it good. He doesn't have to commit to a long term deal yet still gets all the benefits of PPV.
The governing body's will push for the undisputed fight and the match will definitely have a rematch clause so Whyte will be waiting for what could be two years. If Fury fights Wilder again maybe Eddie could make Joshua Vs Whyte but would he risk Joshua losing?
Spot on. Chisora x2 (rematch was pointless) Povetkin (nearly wiped out in a round by a CW) Rivas (young but unproven) Browne (terrible) Parker (lucky, but good win) Keeps calling Povetkin out (old AF), knowingly sits around waiting for Wilder (knows he won’t get the fight), and won’t go near a top guy. What he’s doing is so transparent.
