Listen, man, Ben did what many couldn't. Helped Tyson come back from the abyss when nobody else wanted to know. When he was fat, depressed and down in the dumps, everybody was laughing at him, but Benny comes in and did the job. Credit where credit is due but time to move on now. It was obvious for Tyson to take it to another level he needed to make a change, a great move. A move that was risky but paid off.

He clearly is a great coach and hasn't left him high and dry. He done what most would do if they seen other, more accomplished, coaches being introduced into the set to 'support' him, and left them to get on with it. You can't fault the change in trainer as ultimately its worked but in terms of Tyson's and BJS' substandard performances under Ben, these have been in nothing fights and comes down to the fighter's mentality going into fights that mean nothing against opponents who do nothing for their profile.

If he was that bad of a trainer then why is BJS building a team with him as head trainer moving forward? I'm pretty sure BJS was terrible in his last fight against Coceres and this was under Dominic Ingle, does this mean Ingle is a poor trainer also or is it down to BJS mentality going into nothing fights?

When a fighter is poor we are too quick to criticise the trainer...

Yup he has plenty to offer and is very young. As has been pointed out, BJS is getting trained by him again and there's other fighters who I feel would go well with Davidson coaching them.

Let's not forget that Davison would of picked up them tactics from working with fury, it wasn't him that instilled the tactics in fury, he was just repeating what he learned off fury no doubt.

Ben Davison deserves immense credit for the part he's played in this story.

Would agree with you on that, he deserves a lot of credit, he was the one who helped Tyson with the belief within himself. He was the one at Tysons side. He did a marvellous job bringing him back and getting him into shape.

Why are people going on like Ben found Tyson in a ditch somewhere and nursed him back to fitness

Tyson made the choice to get back in to shape, regardless of Ben. It just happens to be Ben who was there at the time and who he picked. He was out with Ben and challenged him to get some girls number and if he could then he would give him the job of being his new coach. Tyson's own words

So Tyson was already in the mindset of getting back into shape, if Tyson wasn't mentally ready to get back in shape there's not a man alive who would have been able to do it and you all know it.

Ben just happens to be the lucky one who was around at the time when Tyson's mindstate was coming round.

All this Ben saved Tyson is such over romanticised bollocks, Tyson saved himself and Ben was just there for the ride

Why the disdain for Ben? Only thing he got wrong really was Tyson's weight against Wallin and thankfully, Tyson pulled off the job. He's switched trainers now and looking back, it's all been a success and all worked out fine for everybody.

I can almost hear Davidson telling Fury ‘don’t get greedy’ after rounds 3,4,5,6.

Maybe Fury realised he needed to be greedy. Can’t allow a person like Wilder to have 12 rounds. As we all know, and Fury does, he only needs 2 seconds to close the show.

Ben, even in BJS corner, seems very defence minded. Proved to be the correct decision in the end.

Ben coached a 70 percent Fury to a win in their first fight. I don't quite understand the disdain here.

I don't think Ben Davison has the experience yet to work on the fine technical details of fighting an aggressive fight. Steward wasn't picked out of a hat.
In the gym and in the corner, there can only be one voice. Davison has played his part in getting Fury to this point. If Tyson decides to fight a more elusive fight in the future, I doubt he'll work with Steward with his Kronk background. He may go back to Ben or he may look elsewhere.
Fury has the pure Boxing IQ to know what he needs , it's really only a question of where he goes to find it. I actually think he could work with a different trainer every time he fights as long as he is happy with what he wants to do.

If it wasn’t for Frank & Benny, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Tyson owes those two an awful lot.

With honest cards in LA, Davison would've been the trainer of the WBC champion.

For a young up and coming coach that no one heard of he did brilliant and made Fury smile again in the gym. Hats off to him not just for physical training but the mental boost he gave Tyson. Imagine how Fury felt mentally losing all that weight. Well done Ben!!
