Forget wilder 3, he needs to go back to the drawing board, it was just horrible - a beat down on the level of froch v bute

Whyte has been mando, interim champ or what the wbc wants to call it forever. While Joshua deals with pulev, fury should give Whyte his chance.

it would sell, Whyte shouldn’t have to fight another hard opponent in povetkin, and whether Whyte wins or fury does- the winner versus AJ would be HUGE.

one thing for sure whyte will put up a better effort than wilder

also aj will get rid of pulev within four

    Just my opinion

My interest in a third Wilder fight is a big old zero, so I'd be happy enough with this. I expect it to look like Fury-Chisora though in truth but it at least stops him complaining constantly. Then who knows, maybe him and Wilder can fight next year in another eliminator or something.

Yeah Whyte is very deserving of a title shot... he is the interim champ so that needs unifying first before AJ unification.

I'm not sure what path would be better for Whyte... going through Povetkin first... or directly for Fury (if possible)... but Whyte has always used the hard fights to sharpen his tool set...to get the seasoning and gritty fight experience that makes him the fighter he is today... so maybe he need the Povetkin fight as a jump start given his Wach performance where he was in a bad place mentally/physically.

WILDER DOES NOT DESERVE ANOTHER SHOT!!!

Whyte would undoubtedly do better than Wilder

fury will be the favourite, but Whyte actually deserves his shot and will fight back if fury comes at him unlike wilder

it should be whyte fury next. It would sell well, and would make an AJ fight even bigger.

the belts still in the uk etc

nobody wants wilder 3, no wonder whyte has been screaming to fight him after what happened Saturday

Which is why Fury will revert to his more usual style of fighting and just pick him off over 12. I think this more offence first way of fighting was a Wilder exclusive outing.

Fury executed Whyte's gameplan... jump wilder early...walk him down... run at him...

If Wilder knows whats best for him... he will avoid the rematch... but then he never gets another chance for title shot... aint nobody giving him a chance

true, but Whyte has a similar mind set to fury, you have to nail him to the canvas to beat him.

wilder mocked aj for ‘quitting’ v Ruiz but wilder mentally quit by round 3.

if fury stays at the kronk it could be very interesting

I would prefer Fury to fight Joshua, and Wilder to fight Whyte to be honest.

Whyte does deserve his title shot though, he has been waiting for years.

Aj has pulev to deal with

I don't buy that, personally. I think Wilder had resigned to the fact he was probably going to lose but he was still throwing shots trying to change that. There's a difference to that and mentally quitting.

You're right RE Whyte, I just think he's a solid level below Fury and it'll be a very frustrating night for him.

Yep, to be fair to Whyte he has suggested this would be his approach in quite a few recent interviews.

Anyhow, how does Whyte beat this focused version of Fury? Who will probably be even better after another camp with Sugar Hill?

I think this is a very tough nights work for Whyte. Styles make fights and all that and I don't see what Whyte could bring to the table to cause any significant issue to Furry. I bet he will put up a great fight with a tonne of heart but I suspect it will be very one sided with Whyte badly hurt in a shut out.

Nah I dont think the Sugar Hill approach will work against Whyte... he hits too hard and from a variety of punches unlike Wilder... so it would play into Whyte's favour as Fury eats uppercuts, body shots.. hooks.. jabs...right crosses... where Whyte carries power in all of them.

I mean did you see what Wilder tried doing? Nothing.. just the same jab - jab feint - right cross combo all day... didn't implement any plan B like body work to slow Fury down...

Whyte always always always uses his entire tool set to break the will of his opponents.. pepper the jab to knock the opponents ryhthm and score points... throw body shots to slow the guy down.. get them breathing heavier.... and to lure them into dropping their guard as they try to cover their body...

Fury's ben davison approach would serve him better.. stay at range and pick Whyte a part... because let face it.. Whyte is terrible at mounting attacks...he has improved a lot... but it's just not his forte... he is a counter puncher at heart.

If Fury tried running into Whyte... Whyte would Maul Fury... and Fury would walk into something dangerous... Whyte is a streetfighter at heart... and he would just go toe to toe with Fury and I dont think Fury would take it well because its sustained punishment from various angles....not just one punch he has to dodge like against Wilder.

Whyte really has the most versatile tool set at HW.

He throws a variety of punches at varying speeds as well to make him less predictable... because he carries power in all his punches... he is more dangerous than you think

    Thanks for that.

Fury can and will adapt to different fighters so assuming his best version, expect to see Fury with a game plan (with the ability to go to a B and C as necessary - cause he can do that). Whyte mauling Fury - I can't see it personally but would be a fascinating spectacle! Of all the things to worry about, I think Fury's reach would be such a huge factor.

Fury is peaking right now. Whyte is still learning and getting better. Fight would be too soon for him I think (by at least a year or two) to give himself his best chance.
