Wilder taking his rematch, simple as that.

Have you not seen Ali vs Foreman? Wilder was biding him time, waiting for Fury to punch himself out! ;)

I think Wilder would be well advised to cut a deal to let Fury - Joshua go ahead, on the condition that he gets first refusal on fighting the winner in spring / summer 2021.

Take a few months to recuperate, arrange a confidence builder fight followed by a top 10 opponent and go from there. I think his camp would be foolish to assume the rematch is the best path for him - Deontay Wilder, back to winning ways, going up against the winner of a massive unification bout would be a bigger fight than an immediate return against someone who, over the course of two fights, comprehensively outboxed, beat up and stopped him.

I’m with the Pimp, too much money for this fight to not happen. If I’m Wilder, I take step aside money and fight the winner of Fury/AJ. Gives him time to recover and build some momentum knocking out a guy or two. His leg looked fine to me but who knows, maybe he has an injury. No harm in waiting a little while and not rushing into a rematch.

Fury looked good but he has an erratic history. If he beats AJ, he might go off the rails and do something crazy. Wilder is down but is not out. I like Fury in the rematch but this is boxing. Crazier things have happened. It’s what makes it fun.

I don't think it will happen again if wilder doesn't enact his rematch clause. Fury is chasing the Joshua fight, which will be huge payday and event. Why would he risk the chance of getting unlucky with a Wilder rematch if he doesn't have too? Fury can fight cans for the next year and make decent payday while he push for a Joshua fight. Joshua actually has very little options to avoid a Fury showdown. There isn't another name Joshua can throw out as a replacement for not fighting Fury. Also if the fight happens I'm pretty sure these two will have a rematch clause too.

All this is if Wilder wants another crack at Fury. If not he can go on a lengthy rebuilding.

Wilder certainly wants a third fight and Fury has nothing against it as long as big money is at stake...

Pointless rematch I agree. Wilder didn't win a round and was on the floor multiple times and on the verge of a bad mid rounds KO when Breland through in the white cloth.

Yeah man and Whyte already knew the blueprint to beat Wilder... as did Fury... jump him early... dont give him breathing room like Breazeale did... just standing hesitantly infront of Wilder LOOKING for an opportunity... thats just stupid

Wilder would get stopped the exact same way in a rematch... Wilder was on the verge of a brutal stoppage... the referee was going to stop it anyway... that beat down must have taken 10 years off Wilder life. HE THREW NOTHING BACK!!!!

Lets be real, the third fight would be suicidal for Wilder. I can see repeat or even a more convincing win for Fury.
You Wilder fans are deluding yourself if you think any different

Wilder will have no chance in the rematch just like Stiverne when he fought Wilder, will he fight for the money knowing he could get battered again?

I understand Wilder is now 34/35 and I can’t see any chance to change him fundamentally now so I expect them to exercise the rematch clause so Wilder can cash out.
