Folks (Wilder fans) trying to sell the third fight are attributing Fury's dominant victory to the impact of the perfect equilibrium shot from the first knockdown, and Wilder never recovering.

Is there any argument that Wilder will atleast put up a better showing (remain dangerous) enough to make it competitive/interesting in a third fight?

Fury IMO has won 17 out of 19 rounds. Wilder was thoroughly dominated and then stopped in the second fight. There is no point in a 3rd Fight.

They can't expect anyone to be excited about this potential rematch. Hopefully those close to Deontay can persuade him it's not a good idea and the division can move on! I hear it's immediate rematch only kinda clause, which is a shame as I'd like to see them fight again perhaps, but once Wilder has rebuilt and Fury has the opportunity to fight the rest of the best at HW, such as Joshua, Usyk, Whyte and maybe Dubois in a year or so.

I think that in a 3rd fight Wilder will be able to go later than 7 before being knocked out or stopped. Even if Fury fights the same game plan, and is as sharp.

Wilder will be more cautious and try to jab and move more. This will buy him time.

Having said all that Fury still knocks him out in a third fight- it will just be later like round 9 or 10.

If they fight again so soon I will still buy it but i'm probably in the minority. Show would lose money surely unless they got some unicorn promotional ideas?

Wilder's best chance in my opinion, is if Fury goes off the rails again and comes into a third fight unfocussed and having been undisciplined or become unstable after his win. Hopefully he learns from the period after his win over Wlad to ensure history doesn't repeat itself. If Fury comes into a third fight in the same shape and with the same destroyer attitude, I'd give Wilder only a 10-20% chance of victory if he goes hell for leather from the opening bell. I cannot see Wilder changing his game enough to be able to deal with Fury on a boxing level in 2 years, let alone 6 months.

Fury only had 7 weeks with Sugar Hill in preparation for this fight, according to an interview he gave to IFL, imagine how he'll look after several months with him. He'll only improve his power punching technique even more, this time he sparks Wilder out cold.

I was going to predict an even more brutal career shortening beating for him but I honestly don't think he's got it in him to endure even another one like that, let alone a worse one. I don't even think we'll get a no mas from him because I think Fury will just step up to an even higher level and take him out early in HL reel fashion.

Wilder would be mentally destroyed if he was to lose to Fury in a third fight, he would need a miracle to beat Fury, it might tip him over the edge , not a good idea , would be better to fight Povetkin, Chisora, Parker , Price , Takam, imagine if A.J had of lost his second to Ruiz do you really think he would want to humiliate himself in a third fight .
Wilder needs to avoid Fury , get a new team and get some wins and forget about Fury .

Other than to get Wilder another payday there is no point in a 3rd fight. Time for Fury vs Joshua. Wilder can watch from his couch.

The only reason i would wanna see a third fight is to see how Tyson Fury going to troll Wilder in the press, face off, weight in and so on.
It would be epic. And the dummy can`t say a word ....
But in all the reality Wilder does not deserve the rematch. This was the rematch, because he lost the first fight 100% clearly. It was 10-2 rounds in favor of Fury it was wide enough for Fury.
And in the rematch Fury beat the living s**** out of him.
So Fury outbox him in the first fight and won 10 rounds, and in the second KTFO him hard.
Explain to me, why we anyone wanna see a rematch, and with what the dummy deserved it ?

Wilder losing the 2nd fight is the whole point of the 3rd fight, the rematch clause existed for this specific reason.

Deontay Wilder will give Tyson Fury the hardest fight of his life, then if the Gypsy King can box again, he can go fight Anthony Joshua

Wilder has lost to Fury twice already, so like everyone else is saying here, there should not be a third fight.

What do I think will happen if there is a third fight, I do think the third fight will go the exact same way, but with Fury stopping Wilder even sooner this time.

Third fight is not in Fury, or Wilder’s best interest, Wilder would make more money fighting Fury again if Wilder had two more impressive wins under his belt, which might help a lot of people actually believe Wilder has a chance, and the fight will be competitive.

Question: Is the new WBC champion Fury now the "A" side in terms of the institution i.e. is he going to get to the benefit of the doubt from refs and judges as Wilder has enjoyed for his past fights against Ortiz 1 and Fury 1 & 2?

Assuming the trilogy fight will be in America which of course it will be.
