I'm sure Wilder will make sure Breland will have no towels in his hand in the rematch lol.

Wilder was angry with Breland immediately after and Jay Deas said he didn't want the towel thrown in.

It should've been Deas or the ref that decided if the fight should be stopped

I'm sure Wilder will make sure Breland has no presence whatsoever in his corner in the rematch.

He'll need someone to throw under the bus, and both him and Deas will make sure of that.

Pity, since Breland may well have saved Wilder's life. He was on his way to entering Riddick Bowe territory.

People are exaggerating the beating Wilder took. It was nowhere near Bowe vs Golota I or II.

I agree he was getting whooped but the stoppage was a tad premature.

Breland is a good coach and a sensible man. He's wasted in Wilder's camp.

If he wants to live by that rule, let Wilder train himself. Trainers do NOT want to see anyone, let alone their fighter, die in the ring. Wilder sounds like someone who thinks he knows what boxing fans want to hear. He's dead wrong 99% of the time.

It won’t matter. Wilder has hated Breland with a passion for years anyway. This is just one more thing for Wilder to not like about Breland. Wilder used to have two other trainers, but they got fed up with Wilder.

Also, keep in mind Deas is the one that hired Breland and Russ Anber (he walked away from Wilder) in the first place and admitted that it was beyond his capability handle Wilder’s training as professional by himself. Without Breland and Russ Anber Wilder would’ve never made it to a title and Deas knows it. It’s a shame he’s now throwing Breland under the bus, since Deas is a head trainer in name only. Wilder has only himself to blame for losing.

I never said it was. Hence, he was on his way to entering...

Let that fight go on a few more rounds and Wilder is left dribbling into his shirt and making Chewbacca noises.

I could see Wilder ditching him. Not because of the white towel but because Wilder needs to retool his game or at least freshen it up.

Wilder's too old and stuck in his ways to make any major changes now. His only hope is to tweak his existing strengths and avoid Fury like the plague, because he's never coming close to beating him. Avoid Joshua and Usyk as well and fight Whyte or Ruiz at his peril.

The towel was right at the time. Wilder was done. Whats the point of letting go out for another round and risk his health....

This. A year or two ago people thought I was exaggerating when I said how uncoachable and hard to work with Wilder was when he passed through our gym about 8 years ago. He didn’t want to do any of the drills and couldn’t take being corrected.

He should be thankful that Breland was looking out for him, since Bayless seemed afraid of facing the backlash of stopping the fight in the 7th round. I also think Fury started easing up in the last round on Wilder out of mercy because he expected Bayless was going to step in.

He does need to freshen it up for fight III, even if it's just tinkering. BTW I'm not sure he isn't still #2 hw. Joshua is still another ko waiting to happen, I don't even trust him vs Pulev.

I posted Fury should dump Davidson after Wallin, Sugar Hill defo added some x-factor.
