The one vs Ortiz in the rematch must have been double...he only threw 5 odd punches the whole fight

Aside from that stupid costume, he placed back on fourth in his dressing room during the whole undercard. He looked tight and tense the whole night unlike Fury who was completely relaxed and focused. Bottom line anyone with two eyes saw that fight change in the third round. Once he was knocked down his legs were gone. He still had his legs in the first and second rounds that were competitive rounds that he still lost.

    Its so funny its sad

He wasn't hurt at all - he was just bluffing
His legs were gone from the costume not from being smacked repeatedly in the head and having 19 stone weighing on him
    It is utterly moronic
How anybody can defend such stupidity is beyond me
Its not supporting your sporting hero - its demonstrating below baseline levels of intelligence and critical thinking
Even the people at work who don't watch boxing are discussing it and how utterly stupid an excuse it is - its all over the headlines in the UK - Wilder blames his costume
It is next levels of embarrassing - when instead he should have manned up with his going out on his shield line
Oh but no-one would have been able to carry him, his shield and his costume due to the gargantuan weight it would have been

    Idiot.

His legs were perfect until he got smacked repeatedly in the head. Worst excuse I've ever heard.

Wilder thought he was going to a Halloween costume competition. No one told him he was fighting Fury that night.

He admits he tried it on the night before, so he knew how heavy it would feel.

I honestly thought neither boxer would find excuses for losing and I stand by that claim for Fury - I think he would have taken a loss like a man. Wilder is embarrassing himself with this nonsense....

He’s been emasculated in front of his whole world!
The same mentality that demands all video evidence of his previous knockdowns is deleted now dictates that he must find excuses for his humiliation at the hands of Fury!

You only need to look at his demeanour in the dressing room after the fight.
He just sat in his chair in a trance, unmoving, not speaking, not looking around and not acknowledging anyone else was even in the room.
He sat that way for what seemed like hours!

The concerned faces of those who do actually care for him tell their own story!

Unlike many before him, I think Wilders whole self was invested in his status as World Champion, unbeaten and in his Bronze Bomber persona.

I hope he gets genuine support and proper care to help him absorb what just happened to him.

Well there was Anthony Joshua who made no excuses for his loss, took it like a man and rose great in the rematch. Yet he is still being bashed for the lost fight by the same people that defend Wilder.

My mum asked me if I had seen what the boxer that lost said, she was actually laughing at the reason.

Can we get a statement on this from his strength and conditioning coach please?

Wilder's S&C coach - "Of course we have been conditioning wilders strength for many years we just have not reached the level yet where he can comfortably carry 18 kilos on his frame... and I did voice my concerns about the costume being to heavy for my professional athlete... Wilder also was concerned that it would hurt his legs.... but his mother made him wear it"

If Wilder does a normal entrance and somehow wins the third fight and says something like “I told y’all it was my costume! I had my legs this time and you saw what happened in the ring!” in the post-fight interview and then it somehow becomes a universally accepted truth that the costume in the second fight injured him, boxing may truly, finally encountered the event from which it will never recover from.
