Anthony Yarde, unfortunately has a clown managing him. Literally. Do they think avoiding every half-decent challenge at the domestic level is going to help in the long run? I mean common, Lyndon Arthur would have been a perfect fight. He would be tested but you expect him to come through it. These fighters trying to operate like Floyd before they even do F all. What these idiots don't realize is Floyd fought the best coming up, fought monsters before he was able to become more selective with his fights etc. Tunde is a dam deluded idiot tbh.
I don’t rate Arthur to be honest , but why turn this fight down ? Nice domestic fight to make a comeback in against a guy who has a more padded record than yourself ha !
I will wait to see who he faces instead of Arthur - if it’s a BS opponent, then my opinion of Yarde will go down quite significantly.
My understanding is that Tunde wants to take a couple of tune ups to get back inot the mandatory. Apparently Blake Caparello is who they are after but I am not sure if thats next. Warren wants him in WBO tournament and they have heard rumblings someone is pulling out which is why apparently they did not want to sign up for the fight with Arthur. Apparently Tunde also doesnt want him to go back to british level and will just rinse and repeat the same method of taxi drivers thatgot him there previously. From the rumours i have heard Warren is trying to engineer a fight with Vlasov as he is the easiest fight in the tourney. However from what I have heard apparently its Ramirez that is likely to pull out as he is potentially looking at signing for DAZN. Hence why the purse bid was so low for the Alverez fight. If that happens Yarde vs Ramirez will be ordered which would be a risky fight.
Anyone with any top level boxing ability wipes the floor with Yarde, I wanted to like him but he's not having he fights necessary to develop him, he's just going to get stopped again when he steps up. They can't have any confidence in him if they keep trying to find the easiest opponents to get him in with a shot at a title again.
