Applying Vaseline to your legs will do absolutely nothing to your performance. I have fought with a thick layer of Vaseline on my legs and the only negative thing I experienced was that my opponent slipped out of a fighting ending submission...

How is a broken toe a non factor? Have you guys even broke a toe before? You can't push off of it.

    Here's Haye pushing off it:

Looks pretty mobile to me.. The problem looked like Wladimirs jab & use of distance, not a toe.. note he was bouncing up on his toes at the stare off too

Yes, Haye falling down without being hit or pushed was all Wlad too. Look, I'm one of the biggest Wlad fans on here. But not going to act like a broken toe doesn't effect a mobile fighter.

Wilder going to wear a ribbon around his jockstrap and ballet slippers next fight to minimise weight drag and wind resistance.

His corset was clearly too tight, cut off the blood supply to his two pipe cleaners.

When performing in an athletic competition, applying vaseline to large areas of skin that need as much oxygen as it can get is ruinous. The heat that can't be released becomes trapped increasing the metabolic rate. That's a scientific fact. Whether or not it caused Klitschko's loss is another matter entirely. But at least his theory about his loss to Brewster has a scientific basis. Too bad about that leg hold...

Haye has no choice having toes. Wilder after, no doubt, three or four fittings and trying it on the night before the fight, had the choice not to wear it if it was too heavy.

For that reason alone, it's first ballot for the Hall of Shame...

The toe excuse is too disgraceful, especially considering all the trash talk that lead to Wladimir vs Haye. The vaseline excuse for Wladimir's loss to Brewster was rather comical too and I'm a Klitschko fan.

Wilder’s team in a week: “the lights inside my mask dilated my pupils, which made it impossible for me to see Fury’s punches.”

One week later: “Tony Weeks did everything in his power to make sure I lose. In fact, the only reason he penalized Fury was to make it seem like he was being impartial.”

Costume ... because Wilder is tough enough to handle the indignity that accompanies such an excuse. I respect him for that.

    Both excuses are equally cringeworthy
