I love how everyone is just laying into Wilder for this pathetic and bizarre excuse, and I only expect Wilder to double down on it in the next few weeks and begin lashing out at anyone that dares criticise him. He's delusional and stubborn beyond belief, and once he gets an idea (put) in his little pea brain he can't let it go, no matter what.

I'd honestly have more sympathy for him if he just owned up to juicing his eyeballs out and that's what led to his stamina issues. It's still a massive excuse for the fact that he got straight beat up, but at least you can (kind of) put it down to a tactical screw up on his part.

But putting on ten pounds of lean muscle then blaming a 40lbs costume for weakening his legs after he claimed to train in 45lbs weight vests at a lighter weight is just catastrophic stupidity of the highest order, and utterly indefensible by anyone with a working brain.

Even his most hardcore fans seem to be distancing themselves from it, that's how bad it is.
