Bowe mops him up, at least the Bowe that beat Holy that first time. Wilder wouldn't have a chance to land flush, Bowe's jab would dominate the proceedings. Worse thing is, Bowe's shamefully looping overhand right usually worked against him against fighters shorter than him (and that was most of the guys he fought). Against his height and taller...fuggedaboudit. Wilder creamed in round 6.
Leaning towards Bowe by virtue of his durability and better all around game. It would be an absolute war though and a crowd pleasing affair..
Like earlier posts stated, Bowe would walk him down and suffocate/stifle Wilder's offense. Who ever knocked Bowe out? He was stopped in the Olympics but it was an amateur stoppage. No ref ever counted to 10 over Bowe's carcass. He had too much heart for his own good against Golota. He would turn Wilder inside out and force a mid rounds stoppage. Prime Bowe is getting severely underrated here. Much more offensive minded than Fury and physically stronger and more sturdy than anyone Wilder has ever faced. Meaner and nastier too. His inside game would severely stress Wilder who would have no real answer.
This. Bowe makes Fury look like a nice guy. When Wilder was getting bullied by Fury all he could do was look at Bayless for help. Bowe would clobber the life of of Wilder. A hard right hand from Wilder isn’t going to be enough to keep Bowe from crowding him. Wilder would have to put his punches together to have a chance beating Bowe, but Wilder rarely uses combinations.
Fury is a damn good inside fighter himself. Have you guys watched what he has done to Chisora, Cunningham, Wallin after cut, and now Wilder the most feared puncher in history by many. Fury knows how to maul, use his weight perfectly and is a hard body puncher (his best punch imo), very good inside fighter.
Fury made a stark departure from his usual fighting style against Wilder (2), by coming forward on the attack - looking for the KO. This was kind of like watching a test flight; a successful one, but one in which the pilot was getting to know their aircraft. Team Fury will go back to the drafting board, after this latest outing, and make improvements, no doubt. To Bowe, however, a heavy-handed, come-forward assault came naturally. When Bowe was on-song, there were only a handful of opponents, who I think might adequately withstand the kind of volleys he could launch. Of course, he had his flaws, but none that I think Wilder would have the time and/or be able to capitalize on. Suffices to say that Bowe ends this one decisively, early and - for Wilder - badly.
Bowe had a good chin and power but got hit too much - He could lean on you and hurt you but in this fight he would have to watch out for Wilders power. This fight can go either way but Bowes lack of defense may cost him - physically stronger is Bowe but may get hit too much early to survive
There really is no comparison between the two the skill gap is huge. This is the trouble when pitching Wilder against past luminaries because almost in all cases he’s out-skilled but he probably possesses the power to stop most. You have to go with Bowe here though, as long as he evades the bomb he’s simply too good and stops Wilder by half way.
