The boxing gods are usually not kind to coddled cherrypickers. Expect Wilder to pick up several more stoppage losses before he ends up calling it a day. Said this before he even took an L that once he does the decline will be swift and painful. Let's see if he can rebound and not crash and burn as the historical precident would suggest.

He is 34-35 and looked slower vs Fury.

He's getting up there. And remember pure punchers tend to decline way faster since they have nothing else to fall back on once age starts to catch up with them. Wilder is lacking in the boxing fundimentals and durability departments.

Just hope he doesn't start acting like Foreman did after the Ali loss. Even after all the success Foreman is still haunted by the ghost of Ali.

I still wish we got a rematch for that one.
I'm not totally convinced Ali had his number.

When he loses the Fury rematch I fully expect Haymon to sacrifice him. He's manipulated Wilder his entire career and has finally ran out of bums to feed him.

    So long Wilder.

I don't think so. Foreman made peace with the loss during his first retirement. Then years later made a successful comeback.

Lots of ATGs have disappointing losses

Wilder clearly has a lot of heart and willpower, don't get your hopes up.

Deontay Wilder is the Right Hand of the boxing Gods, the Right hand that exposed Heavyweights as Obese-Roided Super Middleweights

The Purge was executed by Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury 1-1-0 record vs Deontay Wilder, especially getting up from the 12th round Knockout is personal credit to himself.

Deontay Wilder has "no skills" to lose, all he needs is to be in high-stamina shape & the out of shape Obese-Roided lazy boxers will get Sparked out cold more often than fanboys of mediocrity wish.

    I agree.

Once a fighter loses their 0, promoters usually do start taking more risks with them.

If he does what he should be at this stage of the game. 34 years old, 44+ fights and ex champ (he should be fighting top 10 guys only ) he will lose more.
I have a feeling they will give him bums again though which is a really bad look and hard to sell. People aren't stupid. The guy has barely beaten anyone of note already in a very long career " at the top"

It’s laughable how many people dismiss a fighter after 1 fight mind you Wilder lost to the #1 heavyweight on the planet today.

    Done at world level?
    Needs to retire?
Wilder is a top heavyweight despite his lack of “skills”

boxing has some of the most intelligent yet some of the most ******ed fans in the world
